Movie Review: The Angel Tree
10 Christmas movies at this point... and so far this one has the #1 spot.
It had some great funny moments throughout the movie, not just the beginning. The leads had good chemistry and the best part is that the plot was more unique. It wasn’t all about finding love, rekindling love, getting over love - it was more about the Christmas spirit and what a Community can do. And I loved that part.
It had a lot of banter and was fun, from start to finish. And it was also refreshing that there wasn’t a real conflict, are there/aren’t there. It was there but fleeting and didn’t hang there unceremoniously weighing down the characters. Perhaps it was because the story kept moving, the guy didn’t brood about her choices for days.
It’s just a wonderful feel good movie that makes you believe in the goodness of a Community, what they can do when they come together. Plus there were plenty of laughs along the way. Everyone should watch this if they like holiday movies. :)
