Your fandom needs more guinea pigs

Hi there, I'm Oscar the Toy Guinea Pig!

I have noticed a serious lack of guinea pigs in the movies my owner watches. How do I know this, you may ask? Well, she brings me everywhere with her, and when she goes to the theatre she takes me out of her purse and either puts me in the cup holder on her seat or sits me on her lap. (Sometimes her husband puts me on her head, but we won't talk about that.)

This blog is going to showcase guinea pigs in fandom. If you have a guinea pig who likes to cosplay, please submit photos! If you do artwork and want a challenge, why don't you take a movie poster or a screencap from a movie or TV show and replace the actors with guinea pigs (or add a guinea pig to the scene somewhere)? If you know of media that actually includes a guinea pig as a character (whether major or minor), tell us what you think of the way the guinea pig was portrayed! If you want me to discuss a particular piece of media from the guinea pig point of view, send that in an ask.

Other things you can send in are questions about guinea pig care (my owner will probably answer those, since she has four real guinea pigs as well as myself and my many toy counterparts) and stories that feature guinea pigs. But mostly fandom-related things, please; that's the point!

I know that there is a movie that features guinea pigs, called G-Force. I have not yet been able to watch it, but when I do I will provide a detailed analysis of the treatment of guinea pigs in this film. It is my duty, as a toy guinea pig who ingests media on a regular basis.

Oh, and sometimes I'll share photo posts of myself doing things besides watching movies. I get to travel, too!
