Something spicy or something sweet I still haven’t thought that much about it. He likes m&ms though.

Hm. The canon timeline predates the ban on use of single use plastic shopping bags, but I still think Jude is that guy who has to buy the 15c ones every time he goes out bc, like me, he doesn’t know he’s going grocery shopping until he’s already grocery shopping.

This whole holiday is big oscar energies, here’s what I’ve learned about him so far:

I really want him to have grown up in the exact place outside of cairns central that i’m staying at bc

1) it’s called deadman’s gully and that’s funny

2) it’s near ‘the northernmost target in the country’ which is definitely something he’d ironically talk about (it’s also literally called country target)

He and lenore would do campfires on the beach near their house even though it’s technically illegal, they were cautious about fire safety so it was fine

He’s pretty good at campfire cooking bc of this (he’s like... passable at regular cooking)

He likes his marshmallows burned to a crisp and jude is horrified

Slow dancing is so cute... did Jude and Oscar meet at a dance? Or are they just Like That?

Jude used to take dance classes in high school, and one of his friends from those classes had a birthday party. Oscar was also at that party as a +1 for a friend. Because like half the people at the party were dancers they had like a short little dance lesson for those who weren’t. Oscar was like I want to be the best at learning to dance and I also want him to teach me.

They gave up on the actual dance they were being taught after five minutes in favour of spinning in circles so they could talk. Also, they bailed on the party very soon after to get pancakes instead. and yeah they fell in love instantly.

but like, in the same way jude thinks he’s kind of cursed to be miserable bc all judes are miserable, oscar also wonders if he’s tempted fate too much by specifically naming himself after someone whose life ended tragically. like, it wasn’t enough to stop him from picking the name, but like every time something bad happens he’s like ‘this is it this is the beginning of my oscar wilde downfall’ and then the next day he’s like ‘nvm that was just a normal bad thing’

hobby: what do they love? what captivates them? what are their passions?

Oscar has a great love for learning thing so I feel like learning itself is a hobby. But he’s very much into: classic lit, medical history, marine biology (and like, beach related activities (swimming and snorkeling etc.)), also stargazing

conspiracy theory: what are your OC’s beliefs? are they skeptics or do they believe easily? who acts on blind faith? who needs to see to believe?

Oscar is a skeptic but like a loose skeptic. He doesn’t actively believe in anything he can’t see but he doesn’t necessarily disbelieve them either. He did have a bit of a hard time accepting that vampires were real.

A very vague idea of the first time he saw snow except he really doesn’t remember any events just ‘cold’

Fears: heights, flying, failure

Weaknesses: Doesn’t want to cause problems

Strengths: always on his grind, works hard

Most important person is Lenore, because they had shitty parents so they kind of helped each other out a lot growing up (Lenore especially did, she took the protective older sister label very seriously. Least important, the aforementioned shitty parents, for aforementioned shittiness.

30. Do they want to get married? Why or why not? Would they ever want kids? Do they have kids? Why?

Yes, because weddings include all his favourite things: his boy, attention, dressing up, parties. Also love I guess.

I don’t think Oscar is very parental, and I don’t think he sees himself as being a dad either. But that’s not a hard no either.

Lenore

Lenore was the horse girl. She’d want a horse.

28. What kind of nervous habits do they have? Do they stim? Do they have any kinds of addictions?

I could see Lenore pacing when she’s nervous, and being very short tempered with people. She doesn’t have any addictions and she doesn’t stim.

31. What is their most traumatic memory/experience? What is their favorite memory?

The most traumatic would be the whole period of dying and becoming a vampire. I mentioned once on this blog about Oscar and Lenore having like beach bonfires with all their friends back home and her favourite memory is probably one of those nights.
