A 70's baseball icon has left us. Oscar Gamble has been promoted to the big club in the sky. Oscar will mostly be remembered for his epic hair, but he was talented enough to play 17 years in the bigs. Oscar was discovered by the great Buck O'Neil and broke in to the pros at age 19. He was a talented left-handed bat that teams kept dealing for. Oscar should still hold the title for most awkward airbrushed "Traded" baseball cards. His best year was in 1977, when he crushed 31 as a member of the South Side Hitmen. In those 17 years, Oscar donned uniforms for 7 different teams. Which is also the same number of continents that his glorious hair could be seem from.
