Containment Instructions: Due to a bipartisan agreement between the US Military and Otherside, all sapient beings created by OSE-243 have been granted civilian status and will be treated as such by both parties. OSE-243 itself will be decommissioned, and all anomalous technologies found within it will be integrated into the organization.

Entity Overview: OSE-243 is the now-defunct genetic engineering center, ZODIAC (Note: Despite sharing a name, there's no relation to the Otherside's own Zodiac Council). Investigations into ZODIAC have revealed that the various anomalies there have been deemed impossible to explain using conventional science and are classified as supernatural; however, due to the heavy disclosure and coverage of the subject by the media, covering up OSE-243 has since been deemed impossible.

Known entities created by ZODIAC:

OSE-243-Aries: Human/Animal hybrids (since classified as “Saytrs” for simplicity) of varying types, many have since integrated into the Otherside Organization. Noteworthy traits include the torso/head/upper arms of humans and the legs/ears/tails/forearms of said animals. Traits seem to vary depending on the animal used.

OSE-243-Taurus: Human/Bovine Hybrids (Since classified as “Minotaurs” for simplicity), appear to have been made as a proof of concept for the OSE-243-Aries. Noteworthy traits appear to be the torso/head/arms of humans and the legs/ears/tails/horns of a Bovine. Both sexes appear to have a more muscular physique, though females appear to have above-average breast size and a higher lactation rate, despite confirmation of all instances of OSE-243-Taurus being sterile

OSE-243-Gemini: Varying devices used for cultivating other instances of OSE-243 entities. While tech for cultivation has been deemed non-anomalous, the resources required have origins within otherworld magics.

OSE-243-Cancer: Human/Crustation Hybrids (Classified as “Cancers”), Noteworthy traits include a human head/torso with the lower body/legs/Arms of an unidentified species of Crab. Other noteworthy traits seem to include an extra pair of eyes on eye-stalks on top of their heads, and high durability

OSE-243-Leo: Varying medical notes/research from the late Eidolon, Sekhmet. It’s unknown how these came into ZODIAC’s possession, nor how they were translated, though it’s theorized that there were connections to Agent ██████’s past that caused the circulation of the notes (See interview logs) 

OSE-243-Vigro: Two types of female-only Human/Avian hybrids (Classified as “Harpies” and “Hentaurs” respectively). The first (Harpies) are humanoids with the head/torso of a human, and the Arms(Wings)/Legs/Tailfeathers of an unidentified species of falcon. The second (Hentaur) seems to simply be humanoids with human upper bodies attached to the lower bodies of an unidentified species of Chicken. Traits shared by both are hair seemingly replaced with feathers and the ability to lay eggs, though eggs laid by Hentaurs seem to explode if left unattended or thrown (Note: refrigerating or fertilizing said eggs does seem to mitigate this)

OSE-243-Libra: Assorted bureaucratohazardous documents used to obtain funding and resources for ZODIAC. Said hazards were ultimately dismantled successfully by Otherside’s legal department.

OSE-243-Scorpio: Two Types of Human/Arachnid Hybrids (Classified as “Driders” and “Girtablilu” respectively). The First (Driders) are humanoids with the upper bodies of humans and the lower bodies of an unknown species of Spider. Other features include an extra set of eyes and greyish skin. The Second (Girtablilu) are humanoids with the upper bodies of a human and the lower bodies/arms of an unidentified species of Scorpion.

OSE-243-Sagittarius: Varying creatures of either animals who have anthropomorphic upper bodies with the lower halves of their non-anthropomorphic counterparts or humanoids who have human upper bodies with quadripedal animal lower bodies/ears (Classified as “Taurs” and “Centaurs” respectively).

OSE-243-Capricorn: A basic Chimera that was used for study, allegedly to bypass complications with reproduction among other creations.

OSE-243-Aquarius: Humanoid entities with the upper bodies of humans, along with the lower bodies and eyes of an unidentified species of snake (Classified as “Nagas”).

Researcher Note: It should be mentioned that despite the similarities, these creatures differ from the Serpent folk counterparts, who have reptilian upper bodies, so it’s advised not to mistake the two. 

OSE-243-Pisces: Humanoid entities with the upper bodies of humans, along with the lower bodies of an unidentified species of fish (classified as “Merfolk”).

Three serpent folk scientists connected to the Body Artists (a group of interest founded by the late Typhon and Echidna. Research into their history is likely needed) had been captured and detained by the Otherside organization. Said scientists have been given the designation OSE-243-Oroboros. Due to a connected history, Anastasia has volunteered to integrate one of their members. The following are the interview logs between the two:

Anastasia: Well, it’s not every day we manage to find living members of an ancient breeding cult, let alone the SAME ones responsible for MY creation all those years ago.

OSE-243-Oroboros: Ah, I thought you looked familiar. How’s the family, little Ana?

Anastasia: Still dead, I was the White Army’s only “success story” for what good it did them. Regardless, I take it you still go by “Dr. Sukkub”, or is it-

OSE-243-Oroboros: Lamia, actually

Anastasia: Ah, so you’re no longer hiding it

Lamia: You already got my associates and me in custody, so there’s not much of a point now, is there?

Anastasia: I suppose not, especially since we found Sekhmet’s research while seizing your lab.

Lamia: She did contribute a lot to our projects, but I suppose you wouldn’t know a whole lot about that, now would you?

Anastasia: …I know enough that the research wasn’t meant for human use, let alone to help them create artificial eidolons. What was the motive?

Lamia: …When humans discovered the bomb, we all thought humanity’s time was limited, just one bad day, and EVERYTHING would go up in smoke. But that time never came; humans were too scared to use the very death gods they created.

Anastasia: So you thought an arms race with Eidolons would kill them faster? I bet the surviving pantheons would be laughing right now if that wasn’t so pathetic.

Lamia: You gravely underestimate what this means for humanity. They only had to deal with tanks and guns before; now they have access to what are effectively tanks and guns with an equal sapience as them.

Anastasia: You act as if that’s new for them

“With the capture of Lamia and her words, it’s naive to assume that just locking all or simply integrating all of the OSE-243 instances would make this all go away. Anastasia theorises that Sekmet’s research has been circulating in and out of the otherworld for well over a century now, and with biological research being far better now than it has ever been, what’s stopping every other nation from just bypassing our organization and making their own artificial Eidolons? Especially now that it’s been proven to be more than possible with a simple genetics lab and minor government funding?
