Participated in the OST Composing Jam #7! Introducing 'Restock My Fantasy OST', a set of 3 songs written for a nonogram story game that doesn't exist.
I only managed to have time to work on this for 2 days so a tad unpolished but!! I'm proud of it!!

My entry into the latest OST Composing Jam, a small Stardew Valley/Earthbound inspired soundtrack called Valley & Mountain.
All 3 tracks were made in 48 hours as part of the OST Composing Jam: Crunchtime event.
we just finished our project for Lone Rabbit's OST Composing Jam: Crunchtime 04! in 48 hours, we made an OST to an imaginary side-scrolling hack-n-slash roguelite based on our worldbuilding :3
SoundCloud doesn't like displaying the full album, so we'll link one of the tracks below instead...

Soundtrack jam results are in.
I participated just for the sake of participation.
If i wanted to win, I'd be honestly bummed because rating system doesn't feel fair. Many contests and jams operate on popularity vote & allow people to vote against those they compete with.
I prefer fixed jury number that rates everyone, not random number of votes that completely aren't accounted for when the winners announced. Not jury that only rates people after popularity vote as well.
Anyway, it was fun experience and i got a lot of nice feedback, but ranked jams do not look like something worth participating in for me.
P.S. music taste is very subjective thing. That's another layer that makes me question how fair was the rating. The rules allowed too much freedom to make entries fairly comparable, imo.
Wow, what a rush! Nothing like the panic of a deadline to kick things into gear! 😆
This past week, we worked with GEMINI PARALLELS to submit their first album, The Gatekeepers, to the OST Composing Jam #7.
You can now download these experimental electronic tunes over on our Itch.io for free!
A collection of eccentric songs for your adventures.
Sooo, I happened to find out about this jam last minute called OST Composing Jam #7, and it sounded amazing, so I decided to try my best to make something for it even though I didn’t have much time x3
I wish I had known about it sooner! Not just this year, but previous versions of it >.<
Anyways, this is what I wound up making for it :3 (and I made an off-vocal version too) (please be careful with the vids, as they feature some heavy glitching effects, so guard your poor eyes x3) It's the first track I've properly released that actually features my vocals, which I feel is a mistake xD Even if it's not singing, it's still cringe-worthy >.<It was a bit of a struggle on the lil potato, but it managed somehow x3 The video took a while to make because I had to leave the potato on overnight to render it xD
It’s a little different to most of the soundtrack stuff I’ve been making for my VNs, but that’s partly why I thought it would be so fun to have a go at! Because I’m always dying to make music that wouldn’t necessarily fit into most VN projects, haha.
It was cool to have the freedom of imagining a track that could fit a project that doesn’t actually exist :D Anyways, I rambled a lot about the music itself on the itch page, so if you want to read all that for some reason, you can find the project page here :3
I joined this jam, where you make some songs for an imaginary video game. I composed a small selection of songs, inspired by the time periods you visit in Crash Bandicoot 3. The actual OST (or Faux-ST, if you will) including WAVs, can be found here!
My idea for the game was: Vivian is late for her final exams. She uses a completely untested time displacement device out of desperation, tries to travel back exactly 10 minutes, and completely overshoots her target... like, a lot.
I finished the OST Comp Jam again if you wanna go listen: https://beanbunny.itch.io/ost-comp-jam-6-tick-tock
