Battle of Ostroleka, 16 February 1807
This engagement occurred a week after the battle of Eylau, away from the main forces French General Savary and Russian Lnt. Gen. Ivan Essen fought for the city of Ostroleka.
The Russian infantry, in many columns, wished to take the city but the French let them advance halfway up the streets before charging them, leaving the "streets covered with the dead". This drawing depicts the action within the city. Later on the Russian withdrawed and the French charged, making Essen’s forces retreat. After this battle Napoleon ordered the 5th Corps to go into winter quarters as the season allowed for no more campaigning.

Nie sądziłem, że należy mi się jakikolwiek zwrot podatku z zagranicy. Dopiero w KDF-PODATKI się o tym dowiedziałem.. O samej firmie powiem tyle: rzetelni i bardzo mili ludzie. Byłem w oddziale w Kluczborku i zostałem bardzo miło potraktowany. Teraz juz tylko czekać na kasę.
