You’re injured.
Taupe gray eyes shifted sluggishly down to the open wound at across his torso, cutting from his lean, firm chest down towards his navel.
Right fingers freed of their restrictive black coverings reached up with their pale skin reflecting the light of the moon— the rest of their unit was separated; home already, the slow walk to the Hokage’s towers to submit the report as the lead of the squad for this mission. It had gone off without a hitch, probably thanks to the man at his side being there to heal half of the team when things had taken a turn for the unexpected.
Turning his masked face back straight, eyes on the path he released a light puff of breath that was equivalent to his mood; lower than the ground— every ounce of tolerance, of care and apathetic disposition alike draining like the blood from his wound.
”It would seem so.” His tone was bland like water, seeping through his mask. He continued on his path to turn in the assignment details with only the medic at his side— it was strange; he didn’t want to think about just how much, to see someone who wasn’t that person at his side.It was truly surreal, walking somewhat quietly through the silent streets— were this that person, they would be heading towards the hospital mending their wounds together. It felt strangely like that. Tsuchi frowned beneath his mask. “It’s not as bad as it seems.” Of course he knew it was futile to tell a medic something about a wound; but he wasn’t prepared to face the alternative of facing his thoughts otherwise.
