"Anunnaki is in reference to the unknown past of human history and cultures that once lived. Is recorded history as we know it the whole truth or has it been rewritten to some extent? Osyron veröffentlichen Griefmaker als Single

OSYRON VERÖFFENTLICHEN MIT “GRIEFMAKER” WEITERE SINGLE VOM AKTUELLEN RELEASE “KINGSBANE (DELUXE EDITION)”

Nach der Wiederveröffentlichung des von Fans gefeierten Albums “Kingsbane” haben die kanadischen Symphonic-Metal-Meister von OSYRON nun die nächste Überraschung für euch parat: Zur Neuaufnahme von “Griefmaker” gibt es nun ein eigenes Lyric-Video.

Von einer gleichsam unnachgiebigen wie atmosphärischen Instrumentierung untermalt erzählt “Griefmaker” von Kriegstreibern und dem unmenschlichen Horror des Schlachtfeldes:

Mothers, mothers send me your sons I’ll take the boy and carve out the man Crying wives bid husbands farewell Draped in my banner they’ll return honoured dead

Die handverlesene Bildsprache unterstreicht perfekt die emotionale Message des Songs, welcher aufgrund seines Potentials und besonderen Charakters auch zu den bandinternen Favoriten zählt:

“‘Griefmaker’ haben wir als Song wegen seines Potentials für ein Neuarrangement ausgesucht. Es ist ein ziemlich ausgeklügelter und facettenreicher Song mit sehr atmosphärischen Abschnitten, aber wir hatten immer das Gefühl, dass es ihm gut täte, wenn man diese Momente verstärkt. Wir haben ihn ziemlich gekürzt und einige der vorwiegend symphonischen Sektionen rausgenommen, um den Gitarren und dem Arrangement Raum zu geben und sie die Hauptrollen spielen zu lassen. Das ist für uns jetzt eine ‘reifere’ und ‘zeitgenössischere’ Version dieses Songs; würde Osyron ihn jetzt neu schreiben, klänge er eher wie hier als auf dem ursprünglichen Release.”

Das Re-Release des 2017er Albums “Kingsbane” enthält geremixte und remasterte Versionen aller Songs sowie umgeschriebene, neu arrangierte und neu aufgenommene Bonustracks mit dem aktuellen Drummer Cody Antsey. Die Originalaufnahmen zu den Bonustracks wurden von den beiden Gitarristen Krzysztof Stalmach und Bobby Harley allein geschrieben, für die Deluxeversion hat sich jedoch die gesamte Band zusammengetan. Die Deluxeversion von “Kingsbane” wurde zudem von Bassist Tyler Corbett vollständig neu abgemischt und von Drummer Cody Antsey remastert.
