With her attention having been taken by reading through debates about the city’s presidential seat ( really? ), Gaap failed to notice the man walking towards her.

Maybe he was distracted like her. Maybe her grip wasn’t tight enough. Maybe she ought to have bought those ring things for her phone. The collision between the two didn’t send anyone flying, nor did anything really... all it had done was make her drop her phone. On the pavement. 

There was a crackling sound at the impact. She blinked... and then.

“Nooooooooo!!!! My phone!!!!”

I tend to not have him do this in fights because it would be... very annoying and bordering on godmodding, but his main fighting style is “standing still and refusing to be hit by anything.”

He won’t like it, but he wouldn’t freak out either. Part of his job is staying overnight in the wilderness and getting around unfamiliar locations. If anything, he’d handle it better alone, since he doesn’t have any social pressure to deal with.

She typed up a message, then held the screen up so he could read it without moving. { Keep your hands where I can see them. Don’t make any sudden moves. Tell me your name and speak clearly or I WILL shoot you. } He looked too much like Emmerich for her to let her guard down even an inch. Younger, but still like Emmerich. Even if he wasn’t, perhaps they were related? Clones of some sort?
