ANIME SPOTTED: FREE! IWATOBI SWIM CLUB
What more can you ask for in this anime? Pure hotness, awesome swimming team and bishies, many bishies! Just kidding!
Anyways, Free! is an anime about a group of friends forming their own swimming team. Since childhood, Haruka, Nagisa, Makoto and Rin were bound together because of one common passion, swimming. Though it has made their friendship stronger, it has also cause the fallout between Haruka and Rin. After years of not seeing each other, Rin comes back from the overseas and is now a student of a different school from Haruka. Haruka and the others form their own swim team in order to compete with Rin, and thus, they can "swim together" again. They met Rei, a student of Iwatobi and a novice in the swimming field and recruits him to be part of their swim team.
Given all the circumstances and the feelings that they all have towards each other, can their love for swimming mend the broken friendship and create a new stronger bond?
First Impression Rating: 9/10
Overall rating: 10/10 Two thumbs up! ;)
If you like sports anime that centers on friendship or if you like swimming per se, this anime is for you. If you are a great fan of Slamdunk and Kuroko no Basket, this anime is definitely for you. But unlike Slamdunk, this anime is more of on the serious side, not so much of the comic moments. Nevertheless, it is still very enjoyable to watch. You'll love it! I personally like this anime and one of my recommended ones.
Have you watched this anime already? Tell Aki how you think about it. :D
