It was still early in the afternoon when Sylph made her way from one island to the other. She was new in the area and she wanted to explore everything. Obviously, the siren could not manage to see everything at once so she had made a mental note concerning the route she would take today and the islands she would visit tomorrow. You could barely call it a proper schedule. The reason for the messiness of it all would be that the girl didn’t like to pin herself down on something. If one island was more interesting than the other, why would she still leave on time and miss out on all the great stuff.. for a schedule?
So far, she had visited three islands and she was about to reach her next destination when she noticed a black space above her head. Too late. Sylph bumped into the dark object with enough force to leave a small bruise on her forehead. Good thing her body healed quickly. The teen looked up, trying to figure out what it was that she had bumped into and instantly recognised the shape. A boat. How was it even possible that she hadn’t seen it on time? Sylph softly touched the aching skin above her left eyebrow and winced. No blood, though. How fortunate.
As she moved sidewards in an attempt to avoid hitting the boat again, she decided to take a peek at whomever was in the boat; if there was even a person on it at all. The blonde surfaced, raising her head above the water slowly. Her eyes lit up when she saw the male. Sylph smiled dreamily as she placed her hands on one side of the boat to lean on it ever so slightly. What a handsome boy, she thought to herself, only to herself. She would never dare to say such comments aloud. Actually, she didn’t know what to say at all. Why did she even show herself to him. It could be dangerous, depending on his intentions. However, after taking a better look at him, this boy seemed rather harmless. He wouldn’t hurt her, would he?
Sylph tilted her head to one side, patiently waiting for him to notice her. The siren’s golden curls seemed to glow in the brightness of the sun’s light.
