hey guys something swag epic just happened

I was out in the city with my mom earlier. It rained a lot and the atmosphere it created was comfy in a weird sense with all the windows fogged over and soft drizzle pattering against them. So my prompt is: A rainy day in the city with Cricket ^w^

You and Cricket had been in the city for about an hour and all was well until you noticed the dark clouds from earlier had re-appeared and it didn't look like they were going away this time.

You heard the deep thunder cry behind you, with no coat or umbrella you turned to Cricket and as the rain started to fall onto his face, he quickly pulled out an umbrella, just the one. "We can share!! Don't worry I will make sure the rain doesn't ruin our day!" beamed Cricket. You couldn't argue with that, Cricket always knew how to keep your spirits high even if the rain was getting in your shoe a little.

"I know!! Let's go to the park, I know it's raining and thunder-y but it's almost lunch and there's that giant tree! I will shield you if needed" He ended with a smile and you agreed without thinking about it.

It took about 10 minutes for you two to arrive at the park, although the rain had gotten heavier in that time Cricket was still determined to make this day wonderful for you.

"You're lucky I always have this picnic blanket" Cricket said, you looked him with a look as if to say "always?" to which he quickly responded with "Yes always!! Picnics are wonderful and if I miss out because I'm the silly goose who forgot to bring one, then I will just never forgive myself", he could barely finish that sentence without laughing.

The two of you sat down and ate, it was nice, although you were starting to get a little cold, but of course Cricket immediately noticed, "Here, take my jacket" he said as he squirmed to take his jacket off. "No I insist! Anything for my love" and well you couldn't exactly refuse after that could you? The jacket didn't seem to fix the cold issue however. Cricket perked up "Scootch over here lovely" he said as he pulled you into a cuddle.

The two of you were cuddled under this beautiful big tree, and as if by magic the sun started to peer out of the clouds as the two of you got closer.

Zeph: CAT MEOW ALL DAY Griff: I think cat person UNLESS it's a really cuddly small dog, like a chihuahua !! Cricket: DOG ALL DAY!!! but likes cats because they nuzzle and purr :)

/// Cricket took your hand as he lead you through the old creaky gate, the sun was setting and Cricket turned to face you his face became lit up by the light behind. You closed the gate behind you and Cricket eagerly said "Wait wait!! close your eyes" with the warmest smile you'd ever seen. His wish was your command and you closed your eyes but before you knew it you felt something touch your ankle...uh this was weird you thought, why is Cricket touching your leg?

Before you could open your eyes to see what was happening, Cricket gently kissed your forehead and said "ok ok ok eyes open!!!" and so you did, you opened your eyes.

Cricket was nowhere near your ankles so what was... A CHICKEN! You saw a small chicken nuzzle it's neck against your ankle, almost like a cat. "Meet Archie!!" Cricket beamed.

He scooped Archie up in his arms and gestured to you to pet her and without hesitation you pet her back. To your surprise she seemed very fond of you already! You turned your head to face Cricket's and could see he was the happiest he'd been in a while in this very moment. You three hugged and Cricket said "I really do love you, yknow?"
