Party In The Hills (Literate Version)
The lights are dimmed and people are all over the floor. Some making out against a wall. Aron was only at this stupid house party to figure out where his friend had disappeared to. Patrick Waynes, the second closest one to his friend Liz, was supposed to be here. Though, Aron had a hard time finding him at the moment. As he quickly tried to get through a narrow hallway he bumped into a woman, he knew her but didn’t have the time. “You’ve got somewhere important to be?” She asked, holding his hand. Aron’s hand was way too large for her to keep a good grip on but she did her best. “Um. Hey, wait-” He replied. This party made his head reel and he couldn’t keep track of what he needed to do. “I have somewhere I need to be.” He said. Meretseger frowned, if he pulled away she couldn’t keep him there just by force. “Do you know how to dance?” She asked, and pulled him to an open space in the kitchen. Aron went along with it, giving into the huge headache that began to swell. Meretseger pushed his feet apart and into position. “I- no. I don’t.” He said letting her take the lead. Aron sighed and rested his forehead on her shoulder. His hand gently holds hers, making sure not to hold on too hard. They swayed back and forth, to a fro.
When Meretseger stopped Aron didn’t want to. Though, that’s because he’s on the brink of tears. The reason he needs Liz is because she had gone missing for a few days, they’d a little bit of a falling out. It irritated him, things were changing.
“Don’t go. .” Aron said. Still holding her hand.
“I don’t want to be here. I can smell marijuana.” She retorted and headed for the back door of the kitchen.
“I have to find Liz.” He said he wanted her to be with him while he looked. But he knew he couldn’t risk her dying. The light were completely shut off and the soft glow of glow sticks on the floor were the only things that kep the house lit. And just like that Meretsger was gone.
Patrick sat on the couch with a beer in his hand. There was a girl on his arm, this also angered Aron. Liz loved Patrick, or at least that’s what was portrayed; but that wasn’t for his eyes. Patrick saw Aron coming, he whispered to the girl to beat it. Just before he got to the couch he jumped over the back of the couch and bolted out the door. As he sprinted down the sidewalk he smacked into Meretseger. “Shit.. Gah, are you okay?” He asked helping her up but didn’t stay for an answer. It was a mistake to help her up because it gave Aron a chance to catch up to him. “Bastard. Where is Liz?” He demanded. Aron made sure that she wasn’t hurt anywhere. “I don’t know.” Pat lied. He knew full well where she was but the point was that Liz didn’t want to be found. She was drifting further away from Arom and she didn't really want to fix things. Aron groaned, “I think I pulled something. .” He said and noticed that Meretseger was laying on the sidewalk looking up with a cigarette in her mouth. Aron plopped down beside her, looked over at her and sighed. “Are you okay? He ran into you pretty hard.” He said. She nodded and closed her eyes. “I’ve just got a headache.”
Patrick frowned down at the love birds. “Just leave Liz alone alright? I’m going to shut down the party now, a little help?” He said, then smiled knowing she would like to yell at people to get out of the house. “Fuck yes.” She said, jumped up and went to the door. “Ah fine. Hey, you, not so fast.” Aron said and grabbed her from behind.
“Mask. I don’t want you dropping dead.”
“Fine.” She put it on and started shoving people out the door. “Party’s over bitches. Out.” She said as bluntly as possible. Aron scoured the basement and bathrooms making sure nobody was hiding. As he opened the bedroom door of a basement he held a spray bottle and sprayed the two. “No more sex. Get out.” He said scowling at the idiots. “Out, out out out out!” He chased them till they left the property.
After they were done being sheep dogs and rounding up all the people Aron asked, “Is this place yours?”
“Ha, ha nope. It’s a high schoolers who thought that having a house party with adults was cool and a good idea.” Pat chuckled, and opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle of straight up vodka. The student knew Patrick's alias, Seven. The bottle was Meretsgers that she brought personally from Aron’s apartment. “MINE. HANDS OFF.” She hissed, snatching the bottle away and drinking straight from it.
