Eulaliaaaaaaa!

One of my roommates and I had an extended conversation about the Redwall books the other night. These are the things that came out of it (not even going to mention that fact that spoilers are below so GET OVER IT. Shoot. I did not mean to warn you):

There was some fucked up shit that went down. Like Stormfin and The Gloomer who were both essentially cave trolls kept in dark, constrained spaces and only got unleashed when someone needed to be fought. Also the bad guys...always so rife with treachery. Trust NO ONE

The moles were the most undervalued of the good guy animals

Remember that one wildcat, Gingivere Greeneyes who was actually a good guy? That was random

Those dang Dibbuns were always getting into the most adorable predicaments! Always so plump and tiny and full of speech impediments

Brian Jacques took a special delight in describing the foods of Redwall in excruciatingly delicious detail. It totally worked; we would give almost anything to attend any of the feasts described in any of the books. Deeper'n'Ever Turnip'n'Tater'n'Beetroot Pie while sipping on some Dandelion Wine and Strawbery Fizz?! Helloooooooo!
