Kuma: Are you still in touch with any of your siblings/and what are your relationships with them like? Jude: What are some of the things you do to show your loyalty to Kuma? How does Kuma feel about it?

“Mhm! My sisters ‘n cousins are really important to me, y'know? I was always askin’ about them when I was younger and made sure to visit when I could. Can, now, since it’s up to me. I don’t… they don’t come here much, since it’s always kinda messy.” That was an understatement. Kuma’s smile falters a little as they give a small shrug. “Haru’s loud. She likes to gossip with me, and she’ll eat anything you give her. She’s really funny, and I can ask her anything and I know she’ll be honest with me. Sometimes too honest!” they say with a little laugh. “I take her camping ‘n hiking sometimes.”

“Sol’s more serious. She still thinks it’s cool and mature to not like things, so Haru 'n I gotta remind her. She’s a lotta fun once she loosens up a little. She shows me lots of movies 'n things I’ve never even heard of before, and she’s really smart and gives really good advice.” They pause. “She worries about me a lot, and I worry about her too because she’s always tryin’ to do so much. Like whenever she comes here, we usually just end up cleanin’, and she asks me lots of questions. Sometimes…” They falter, rubbing a hand over their sleeve. “She’s trying to grow up too fast.”

“How do I show my loyalty? Honey, that loyalty, that love, is intrinsic to every second I spend with them and all the things I do for them. I’ve never been one to settle down, but they’re…” Jude smiles. “Mm, they’re something special, even if they don’t realize it. I’m always there for them, and they’re happy to have me. As strange as it may sound given our unique natures, I’m their best friend.”

How and when did you find out that you identify as poly and pan?

“I’ve known I was ‘poly’ and ‘pan’ for a very long time, but that wasn’t what we called it then. When I was young, in the place I grew up, we didn’t have a name for it. I was just one of those monsters that liked everyone. I was very lovesick.“ He chuckles a bit. “I had several people I loved before I met Toriel, and it was when I was with them I noticed... I kept falling in love with other people. I often had crushes on three or four friends at a time. I felt ashamed about it for a long time, but eventually I opened up and it has been part of my relationships ever since. It’s just who I am.“
