Observed X At Birth / OXAB flag, Observed and Undesignated At Birth / OUAB flag, Observed Intersex At Birth / OIAB flag

I can't find a lot of info on this acronym format or who coined it, but OXAB is a sibling term to OFAB and OMAB. Everything here comes from the information I could find on those terms as well as how similar terms function, so others may use the differently.

Much like Assigned X At Birth / AXAB, this term could be useful for other Intersex people who prefer "Observation" to "Assignment" due to it being more accurate to their situation, more comfortable language, or any other reason.

Observed (and) Undesignated At Birth ( OUAB ) and Observed Intersex at Birth ( OIAB ) are similar terms, anon did not request these and I'm not sure if these have been used anywhere else before but I figured I'd include them because they might be similarly useful.

They parallel Unassigned at Birth / UAB and Assigned Intersex At Birth / AIAB in definition. Some might use them interchangeably with OXAB or each other depending on their personal history / experiences.

The flag format follows the OFAB / OMAB flags here with similar meanings, but with the bottom two stripes taking colors from these AXAB, UAB, and AIAB flags.

Requested by anon but free for anyone to use anywhere! Just like similar terms, please be respectful and don't use them for those who aren't comfortable with this language. If you have the coiner information please let me know and I'll edit this post to be more accurate.

just want u to know that i just read once upon a bracelet and it was AMAZING!! the notes said you had trouble w the story but just know that i loved it so much and loved the characterization and the passion and AAAACK!!

Thank you so much! I did have a ton of trouble with that story! I think because there is so much dialogue and I had envisioned this very intense reality filled with magic and I wanted to make sure the reader saw what I was seeing. The part with the house especially had me going nuts 😜 but it really paid off because people responded to it and they seemed to understand the world the way I really hoped they would.

I had been wanting for awhile to do a soulmate AU and this was my first attempt. Thank you so much for loving my story! It makes me so happy to know that you felt the passion I was so desperately trying to convey.

the ouab bunnies! these are some of my oldest ocs who still hang around in my head regularly. They’re from an urban fantasy adventure story I started with my bff when I was ten <3 in order, their names are jade, garnet, peridot, topaz, and sapphire. There’s one more named ruby, but I still haven’t drawn a nice portrait for her rip. They’re a group of siblings who get led into chaos by their brother jade and end up having to try to stop a multi-generational war and save their world from angry dragons. I love these kids they’re very special to me

oc ranking for who is the funniest?

1: Vivian. She survives off of sarcasm and jokes. If she doesn’t deflect with a joke, you know something’s really wrong. She never misses a beat. Her sense of humor can be rather dark sometimes, but I think she’s hilarious

2: Jade from ouab! He and viv were close, because they have a very similar type of humor and jade’s very witty. But Viv got first because jade still makes dumb boy jokes and is annoying sometimes loL

3: Alden has a delightful dry humor with a dash of light snark. Excellent deadpanner, 10/10

Another one bites the dust :D 

I have finished another short story! I’m FINALLY getting somewhere on my next project that I hope to have out by the time #OUAB18 strolls around. I’m hoping to actually have more than just one form of my writing available for purchase there but we will see how the dance between me and the muse goes as well as other factors...
