itsuomi and oushi are so special to me. the way itsuomi handles oushi is so special to me. the way neither of them can completely hate each other is so so special to me despite being in a relationship with yuki, itsuomi can't bring himself to hate oushi for having a crush on her. because he knows just how loveable yuki is. he understands it's a matter of oushi's heart, and he understands oushi can't just turn off his feelings for yuki either itsuomi looks at oushi and he sees a protective childhood friend who wants to look after the girl he loves, even if it's in a roundabout, emotionally repressed way. and itsuomi can't hate him, because he wants to protect yuki too. itsuomi knows oushi doesn't want yuki to get hurt, and itsuomi doesn't either the way itsuomi interacts with oushi. he's not aggressive or confrontational. he just wants to talk. he wants to understand oushi. he takes him out to drink and stays when oushi passes out to make sure he gets home safe. even when oushi hits him out of frustration, itsuomi doesn't stop him, nor does he retaliate. he just lets oushi get his emotions out and when oushi cries, itsuomi pats him on the head
and despite what he says, oushi can't completely hate itsuomi either, because itsuomi really is just that likeable. even though oushi loves yuki, and itsuomi irritates him, oushi comes to respect their relationship in his own way. he won't interfere with it he just tells yuki that if itsuomi ever hurts her or makes her cry, he'll deal with him. and itsuomi lets him make that promise, because he knows he would never hurt yuki
