In honour of the Toronto Raptors winning the NBA championship, here is my basketball inspired work, “Defending the Paint.” The Roman numerals below the rim equal 1891, the year Canadian Dr. James Naismith invented the sport... so it’s come full circle with the first Canadian team winning it all. #WeTheNorth

I’m also sharing a photos of my basketball net outside of my studio, which is an occasional perch for American Goldfinches.

Although “Defending the Paint” has been a popular painting, it hasn’t found a home yet. It’s currently available through Talon Gallery in Portland, OR
