It’s really Christmas now (and the revision is really finished for a day and a half!) - the kitchen table is clear of books and the Christmas tablecloth is on! (and the Christmas fairy aka @girlonabridge is writing last minute cards...)

Lou doesn't like the colors of the flat. Do you guys? ~Haz Sorry love, I just don't. ~Lou
We have new fridge and washing machine. They brought them yesterday at the morning as planned, we wiped the fridge and plugged it in yesterday (the blocks from the store took the old fridge away) and a while ago we tried the washing machine for the first time. My mum was terrified how long does the most common programme took compared to the old washing machine (and during the process it seemed to her that it stopped so switched stop/pause button twice. I said to let it be and wait that we don’t know how does it works so it’s probably normal pauses but she insisted that it stopped working and pushed the button. *shrugs*) and my dad stood in front of the machine watching it, nervous if the drain will work and if it works properly and why the spin-drying is starting so slowly. There was some water at the back of it so maybe there wasn’t some pipe put in properly or something. I hope it wasn’t something wrong.
But it’s so quiet compared to the old ones (both fridge and the washing machine) and the laundry was almost dry from spin.drying in the new one, when it came from the washing machine!
The bathroom and kitchen isn’t so nicely empty anymore, oh well... :)
We (me and my mum) were in the town center to buy the washing machine and the fridge. They should bring them here tomorrow morning (or afternoon). Keep your fingers crossed for us it would go smoothly and nothing goes wrong!
The broken toilet bowl is still not replaced (they ordered a new one but it didn’t come yet) (but we can use it so it’s not such a problem) and the kitchen will be bring to us only next thursday (there’s public holiday this (well the next one as well) friday in our country so they can’t come on Friday and they have something else for the beginning of the next week so the first free day is thursday. But it’s not that far away after all...
So. Except of the broken toliet bowl (they should come replace it on Wednesday) and light above the mirror (which will be put by the electrician when he’ll come to put kitchen lights), the bathroom and toliet should be finished now. They were finishing it at the morning and then unexpectedly came guys to the floors at noon (well their chief called at the morning they might come today and then called they will come, but they were originally planned to come tomorrow morning), so we have the linoleum laid down as well! There still need to be new doorsills to be done and some... crossing slats? (probably between the two different linos (we have one pattern for kitchen and another one for the hallway), but first the doorsills need to be done (at least that’s what I got from what dad said. Now we need to go to the shop with furniture to say they can bring us the kitchen we had chose and reserved there and buy new washing machine and new fridge. And then the main thing will be finished. (we need to renew some more places in kitchen and plan to have new shelves made etc.
But anyway... The Thing is almost done! :))
Guuuys, I’ve experienced the very first ever bath in our new bath, aaah! (as I was the very first one to try it as well, my parents said I must be first because I’m the investor :D).
It was bit of an adventure because the bathroom has not the door yet and the bath is now at the oppostie of the door which means right at the opposite of th window as well so I might have made bit of a show for people from the upper floors of the blocks of flats opposite, but never mind it was worth it :)). (it would be worse now when it’s already dark so I would have to switch on the lights though (spot lighting in the ceiling! (*Ace’s voice* Wicked) ).
And it’s crazy because I’ve got a feeling the bath is bigger although it has that narrowed shape... like... one end is wider and than from the middle it’s bevelled and the other end is more narrow. Like... kind of a kidney shape but angular (yes it’s totally necessary to try to describe the shape of our new bath now although I’ll take the pics when everything is really finished so you will see it for yourself %D). And it’s on different side than before but the sides are the same (it’s square shaped) and moreover some space of the bathroom was taken away because of the bricks instead of the... of the thing that was there before, much more thinner. And it still it feels bigger space there. Probably because it’s deeper. And I think the wider side it’s in fact wider than the old bath were before. And I feel so fresh and clean from our new bath now! :D
(in fact my mum took a picture of me taking the first bath but I don’t think I would ever share it here even if “everything” was hidden :D)
On the other for the things not to be perfect, my dad found out today that the toilet bowl of the new toilet is cracked on one side on the top. So they would need to replace it. Probably not on Monday when they’ll come to finish what is need to be finished, because they would have to have some new one prepared and that probably wouldn’t be doable, but we can still use it, so that’s not complete catastrophe (I hope).
Hi friends! I’m (we all are) still alive and getting there. There are still some thing there will be need to be finished on Monday (washbasin and cabinet under, mirror and the light above it, etc.) and on Tuesday they will come to finish the floor (to lay the linoleum). (and then of course there would be need to have the kitchen deliver and put together). But we have already new toliet and the bath should be read to use since tomorrow (when the joints in the floor tiling they made today will be dried), so all the worst should be behind, yay :).
Thanks again, dear jen-tak-trochu that I was alowwed to stay by you for few days and have some rest (and refuge when they made the floor and no one was allowed to be here for 12 hours :) )
So the battle starts tomorrow, on Monday. I most likely won’t be here much - surely not for browsing, reblogging and stuff, although I might occasionally pop in to announce if I’m still alive. So if I won’t show until the end of the month I probably didn’t survive the reconstruciton...
I hope all of you will be alright and if you don’t have too much problems of your own, send some positive thoughts in my (our) way from time to time. Thanks.
Take care!
