smokeseason: Our track, "Santa Rosa" was inspired by a house that sits on the coast of California. The mansion has been abandoned for 10 years and is full of packed moving boxes that were left and never taken. The neighbors say a family once lived there, but after the husband's betrayal, the wife left everything behind to start new. The house has become a type of heartbreak tomb and one can only imagine her packing all her things just to realize it was better to be empty handed than carry the pain of them.
