man this morning i was gonna make a comic abt dave & karkat watching jurassic park (and dave being like “hey why is so much prehistoric media about dinosaurs”) and instead of drawing literally anything i just ended up in a rabbit hole abt the paleontological consultation in the original movie. like wdym universal started suing various museums during the movie’s production for using the word “jurassic” in the title. dawg you cant copyright a whole geological era. what.
man my friend asked me recently to explain what moirallegiance was and like. damn fandom really HAS oversimplified the quadrants huh. like i usually see it get explained as “oh it’s like a qpr” and while i agree that that’s the closest human equivalent there’s so much other shit to it that like.. it’s not JUST that. like there’s the societal role it serves and the hate/pity-based nature of troll relationships and i stg i was sitting there sifting through the explanation in canon & the wiki and going “jesus fuck why were these (the quadrants) never expanded on. this is such an interesting system and we barely get to see how many of them would actually function”. although i guess i feel that way about a LOT of the concepts introduced in hs that just. never get elaborated on.
been thinking abt the time aspect & death symbolism a lot lately & am working on a little smth regarding that... hopefully i dont lose motivation b4 i finish this LOL
i am for sure biased but time & its symbology is prob the most interesting 2 me... death & destruction... associations w archeology/paleontology... am a big fan
might start doing comms of ppls troll/kidsonas bc i really enjoy drawing them.. unsure... let me know if you all would be interested in that sort of thing :)
