It's as they're stepping into the elevator that Megan makes her move; pushing Adam up against the wall after he punches in the code to take them up to his beloved penthouse. Nothing's said as she stares into his eyes for a long while as if she's trying to decide what she wants to do more: kiss him or hit him.

It was after ten when she had snuck into Adam’s room and crawled into his bed. He had tried to talk to her, ask her what was wrong, and she had shushed him with a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth before wrapping her arms around him. Truthfully nothing had happened at home, but she found that there was this ache that took root in the center of her chest after a certain hour where she felt lonelier than ever.
Megan found solace in his bed. With him. And like that she’d sleep for a little while, content, before an internal alarm would go off in signal that it was time for her to go. She’s in the middle of slipping out of his bed when Adam’s fingers are wrapping around her wrist.
"Stay," he murmurs sleepily, tugging feebly.
"Go back to sleep," she yawns/giggles, trying to pull herself free. "I have to go before my dad gets up."
Never will she admit how much she enjoys that sleepy smile of his as he looks up at her, eyes barely cracked open, lips pursed in waiting. She tucks long hair behind her ears after pulling on her sneakers and turns at the waist, leaning down to kiss him softly. They linger, neither pushing, and as she pulls back she smiles.
"You gonna make it to first period today?"
"Eh, haven’t decided yet."
"I might have coffee waitin’ for you if you do." She grins as he nods happily and with that she pulls away and slips out the window, a bounce in her step.
