TALKING THROUGH IT ⇄ KLAINE F2F
Kurt sighed softly to himself as he stepped into the Pourhouse Cafe, going up to the counter and order himself something to drink before looking around the cafe. He didn't see Blaine anywhere, which told him he was the first one there, and honestly he was okay with that. He needed another moment to actually collect himself. He missed Blaine - there was no way that he could deny that - but he also didn't know what to think anymore. He could understand why he froze up, but he couldn't wrap his head around why he'd gone in the first place. He *never* would have agreed to meet Tristan anywhere. But then again, he'd had a very different relationship with Tristan than Blaine had had with Jeremiah. He still couldn't help but worry that a part of Blaine - even if it was small - was still in love with Jeremiah. It had only been seven or eight months since they'd broken up; it was reasonable for Kurt to think that Blaine might have still lingering feelings for his ex. Getting his latte from the girl at the counter once his name was called, he found a small table near the back and took a seat, anxiously waiting for Blaine's arrival.

↳ A CLOSER LOOK:
Blaine is a rather sensitive man emotionally. While he can handle criticism fairly well, when it comes to direct insults and harsher forms of critique or joking around. He tries his hardest to not take things to heart, but unfortunately this can be very difficult for him to do so. This is due to rather harsh bullying he suffered from when he was in middle and high school, both of which still affect him to this day. During his days in West Chester he was seen as an easy target, and sometimes he wonders if he’s seen as such in Cotton Plant as well.
His sensitivity does have a plus side though - he’s very much a romantic and a bleeding heart. He finds it very easy to fall and fall hard for those he grows attached to, and often times he can get in over his head. He’s been in three different relationships in his life, two of which failed rather early on due to Blaine coming off too strong for the other man to handle. Nowadays he’s learned to reign himself in and take things much slower if need be, but overall he’s usually a bit clingy when things get moving. He can’t rid himself of all his nature, after all.
Blaine is very close to his older brother Lincoln, the two’s similar personalities drawing the two brothers near and damn near attaching them at the hip. If Blaine is to have any issues whatsoever, Link is the first person to hear of it and can often be stuck with hour long conversations with Blaine about that which is causing him grief. He never knew his brother as anything but full blooded to him when they were children, and even nowadays when he knows the man is only a half sibling he still chooses not to acknowledge the lessened link. Differing mothers doesn’t bother him, he’s still a full sibling to Blaine.
When he was eleven his father bought him his first piano - a small electronic organ that didn’t even have a foot pedal. It was rudimentary and clearly meant for a child to start on, but that device would lead to a lifelong affair and infatuation with music - whether it be making it himself or performing someone else’s work. He’d practice day and night on that organ using videos of various composers as well as self-teaching, eventually working himself up to a level that impressed anyone that neared. It was at this point he’d also honed his voice and a few years later guitar skills, as well as various other stringed instruments to bolster his lineup. Uke, bass, violin (very amateurly), acoustic and electric guitar. All of these would find their way to Blaine and take place in his arsenal.
Nowadays to feed into his passion Blaine spends any time he’s not valeting in various dive bars and similarly small venues all throughout Arkansas. Sometimes he does it for free in order to get his name out there, but most of the time he can make a hundred to a couple hundred bucks a night for his abilities. While valeting is his main job, by no means is it his main source of income. With sometimes three venues a week he can make anywhere from a hundred to eight hundred a week, it being a decent paycheck when the nights are good. He simply keeps his full time as a valet in order to cover his ass for the weeks when he can’t perform, or the pay is less than he’d need to make rent payments.
Welcome to the game, BLAINE ANDERSON! Your application was successful, and we’re excited to begin writing alongside you, Midas. Please read over our checklist before sending in your link, which you should do within 24 hours!
