↳ A CLOSER LOOK:

From the time Lincoln could remember, he loved helping people out. From being a help to his mother in the kitchen, to making sure kids on the playground had someone to play with. He knew from a very young age that he was going to grow up to do something that helped people.

It was at the age of 11 that Link realized that he wanted to work in the medical field. This came about when his class took a field trip to the local hospital for a career day to see what people in different professions did.

At the age of 12, Lincoln’s parents went through a divorce. Link was completely torn as to having to leave part of his family behind. He hated that his father gained custody of him. He hated that his father didn’t accept him as liking males and not females. Lincoln felt so out of place that he just stayed to himself most of the time.

Lincoln had no idea that he and his siblings weren’t fully related. It wasn’t until he turned 17 that he learned that his father had an affair with another woman who in turn got pregnant. This devistated Link knowing that he was the product of an affair. He knew that at one point, he was going to find out who his birth mother was. He just hoped his mom, the one who actually raised him as her own when she didn’t have to, accepted that he wanted find the person who actually gave birth to him.

Link lived with his father until he turned 18. He couldn’t stand to be with the person who lied to him about so many things and couldn’t accept him for who he really was anymore. Lincoln moved to Cotton Plant, Arkansas to be with his siblings who had been living there for a while.

Link signed up for paramedic classes at the hospital when a position became available soon after moving and succeeded with flying colors. Currently, Lincoln is taking classes at Brinkley College for nursing, hoping to move up from being a paramedic to an actual ER nurse.
