What are your character’s thoughts regarding humanity’s future? Have their opinions on the matter changed over the course of four years? If so, what caused these changes?

The more the days reveal to Yuri about her reality, which happens to include armies of undead abominations, the less she believes in humanity's chances of success. Though scientists had once triumphed over all deadly diseases, rendering them as fatal as a common cold, it was their creation that ironically ended life as known to man. Before it could've been put to proper use, the cure became a precursor to the apocalypse. It wasn't a matter of if to Yuri; she was certain that a few brilliant minds were spared from the onslaught for scientific battles to come, but what the results could entail. She wasn't a scientist, but something more powerful than the original cure-to-all-disease was bound to birth a worse evil should things go awry. She didn't know if she, or anyone for that matter, was willing to take that chance. Their only hope, if such a thing even existed anymore, would be to annihilate the zombies - every last one of them. Sadly, with mankind's sudden plummet to the bottom of the food chain, ambition was a luxury not many could afford.

sᴇᴠᴇɴ ᴅᴀʏs ᴏғ ᴘʀᴏᴍᴘᴛs: ᴅᴀʏ sɪx

Describe, in detail, how your character deals with the following emotions: anger and grief. Do either affect your character’s ability to think clearly? Are they expressed externally or kept internalized?

Yuri normally suppresses her anger, only allowing a fraction of her emotions to surface through a carefully crafted, nonchalant facade. Instead of expressing resentment, she finds herself a distraction powerful enough to quiet the festering negativity, except that her anger can't be easily contained. She remains oblivious to the subtle changes in her behavior, to her clouded judgement overrun by raging emotions, and eventually becomes obsessed with the situation and finding a remedy. When at her boiling point, she lets go of her senses and impulsively goes out of her way to prove that she can indeed fix everything on her own, often times making things worse.

With grief, she acts somewhat similar to the above, albeit far more subdued. She internalizes grief on a deeper, more agonizing level, as it summons memories of her darkest hours, wounding her. It's not unusual for her to plunge into a depressive state, in which she would busy herself with work or finding a solution, like with anger. Though it may last longer, in a way, it is easier for her to process her feelings and surroundings when she is dealing with grief, in stark contrast to the loss of logic in anger.

Pick three predominant aspects of your character’s personality and consider whether these behaviors were inherent, or if the emerged around a specific time, or around specific people.

Strong-willed: "Impossible" was the very first concept Yuri was taught as a child, but unlike most other kids who grew out of abject misery, she was never convinced. There, on the other side of town, stood gloriously tall buildings, home to an infinity of luscious dreams. If the world was so irreparably damaged, then how was it that such a place existed? She sought to savor that cloyingly sweet taste one day, so she never stopped trying, wanting to prove to herself more than to others that her humble beginnings didn't matter, and that she can overcome all odds. While some might argue that Yuri is quite the whiner, as querulous as a spoiled child at times, that quality had very little effect in coming between herself and the dreams she ached so badly to achieve. In fact, her habitual complaining is more or less a coping mechanism that allows her to pull through more easily and endure whatever's thrown at her.

Trustful: Yuri makes sure to surround herself with people she deems reliable and trustworthy, but she more often than not fails to see the glaring difference between their output and her own. Once someone has earned her trust, which in all fairness isn't as easy, she gives them her unconditional all, and blinds herself from their mistakes and shortcomings. becoming vulnerable to their doings. She doesn't see the error or irony in it, but rather holds steadfast to the belief that genuinely good people and positive ties are difficult to come by, and so she latches onto these connections in fear that they may simply disappear.

Stickler: While not a perfectionist, Yuri strives for some sort of idealness in her life and the lives of those around her, and refuses to rest until her goal has been achieved. Except, she doesn't have a clear definition of "ideal" - apart from her own, that is. This, of course, does not sit well with everyone, but their words of disapproval fall on deaf ears. This particular trait most likely stems from the fact that Yuri lived a life riddled with flaws and disappointment, which instigates a need for repair and correction.
