Talk about a place you remember from your childhood
im not sure why but the first place that came to mind was this victorian mill in the town i grew up in which was abandoned for years but then they refurbished it and put a few shops in and made in into a block of flats. someone got into an argument with their girlfriend one night and went on the roof and set it on fire and the fire wasnt put out for a day maybe and all the work was destroyed. i remember i drove past it when it was still burning and i saw them trying to put the fire out and feeling so sad bc it was such a waste and the people there had had their homes and their lives destroyed and for years every time i passed it i felt guilty almost because i just drove past
