“Ow, ow!” Regina screeched, short locks falling victim to the grasp of a one Emma Swan, “Let go of me, you wretched blonde! That hurts!”

It was probably supposed to do that regardless; harsh words were being exchanged, insults thrown back and forth, and Regina had probably said something she wasn’t supposed to. This was the end result...not that she thought she deserved this, but nevertheless it was happening. Emma was using brute force against her, making this both unfair and impossible to counter.

Nothing made Regina happier and feel more free than that.  Since her marriage to King Leopold, her life had been for lack of a better word...miserable.  Everywhere that she went, she was watched as if she were going to leave or step out of line.  How little they knew...that...she wanted to disappear. 

The young queen slowed her horse down to a trot, then a walk, and finally to a halt. Regina sat there for a moment and then rolled her eyes.  “I know you are there,” she spoke without looking behind her. “...so you might as well just show yourself.”  Her voice held more annoyance than authority.

Belle had not known Emma for very long when she asked her inside of Granny, but she knew enough to trust the woman.
