rambling MORE abt my swap au i was supposed to go to bed like 2hrs ago but i dont wanna lose this thought
i had this idea where like. so yknow how in the canon games jack has all this knowledge about henry and dave and he remembers they killed him and all that stuff but dave couldnt recognize jack off rip because they worked different shifts in fredbears and didnt see eachother often
well in my swap au that dynamic changes. swap jack is a dayshift worker who brings his little sister there all the time— he would have worked with william and mike (i imagined him as very janitorial-esque, cleaning up after the kids, mopping floors, etc etc) and would be even more recognizable because "oh, that's the guy who brought his little sister to work everyday"
so what if MIKE recognizes dee but dee doesn't recognize mike? and mike has the knowledge of dee and jack's death and plays dumb/doesn't tell her?
dee gives off the aura that she'd know more what she's letting on but she truly doesnt, the last time she saw mike is when they were both kids and NEITHER of them had the colorful pigment they do now (dee was a human skintone and mike i feel had a really bad condition like sezary syndrome or something that turned his skin really red and when he died and corpse'd he just went full pink LOL), so it would make sense for dee to not immediately recognize mike.
i feel like it would also take a minute but not as long for mike to recognize her. i think in the first location he wouldnt realize much at all, but in the second where the puppet (jack) comes into play jack couldve talked to mike and went "oh so you see what you did to my sister now" and mike is like "wait what...OH MY GOD NO WAY" and has been doing EVERYTHING to hide it from her in fear of how she'd perceive him if she knew
and i feel like, with mike's obsessive nature, he'd very closely hold onto that secret. idk if i wanna call him "miketrap" or "mikebear" bc mikebear is way funnier but i feel like flipside mike would be VERY adamant about dee not interacting or keeping miketrap/bear because of how unstable he is in fear that mikebear'll get too comfortable and tell dee everything. i feel like mike holds dee so close because he's found someone to connect with (like william was for him) and he realizes the one thing that could get in the way of that is this information
