Day 104: Outdoor Yoga
This time of year, even with the pollen, is my favorite to host outdoor classes. It's warm, we're finally done with the freezing temperatures, and it's not mind-numbingly hot yet. (Unpopular opinion: I'd rather be HOT than COLD)
I love hosting outdoor classes, especially when I don't need to use music. It's easy and natural for yoga, it's a little more complex for Pilates. It would be interesting to host a HIIT or bootcamp class without music.
I enjoy feeling the breeze, hearing the birds, and being part of the rhythm of the lives of others, while taking this intentional pause. It's where I feel most alive.
I think that's why I prefer to mostly teach outdoors and why I love to walk outdoors. It's also what makes me question working a 9-5 job that primarily requires my attention indoors. How can we see the outdoors, with its pink and green and LIFE and think we should be spending our precious time inside?
WOD: 60 min yoga, 2 mile outdoor walk
