Even though Oscar’s been expecting this, knows he’ll have to have a hundred more of these conversations eventually, the discomfort settles in thick and fast. It’s been easy to forget that all of these people — his coworkers, his friends, his fucking rivals — have probably seen it — the video. Seen Oscar in ways he never expected anyone other than him to see in that moment. All at once he’s an exposed nerve ending again, facade weathered by a storm that just keeps coming.

thank you!! that’s so lovely to hear!! i don’t want to give too much away but lando is heavily involved in oscar’s outing in a way that (hopefully) you won’t expect … and not in a bad way, per se lol. it’s a chaptered fic and i’m writing chapter 2 of 5 currently — it’s taken a bit of a back burner while i work on road trip au and a fest fic :)
