@soominstuff here are the notes we used! Had to go to a slightly lower key as there was a note missing for the higher version; obviously it’s not exactly the same but it appeased our need for that tune 😂 This is a screenshot of the video clip which I couldn’t figure out how to post 😭 Isabelle singing it is just the best👌 Hope you like!

Skye Boat Song (French Lyrics)

I’ve finally decided that I want to know what the lyrics are, and since no one else seems to have them,  I’ve done my best to figure out what’s being sung.  I’m not an expert at French (having only studied it for 4 years, but I’m told I have a good handle on the language), and I wrote these lyrics based on a translation of Bear McCreary’s original lyrics into the closest possible French word Raya Yarbrough is pronouncing.

Chante-moi l’histoire d’une fille d’autrefois,

S’agirait-il du moi?

L’âme au légère, elle prêt prendre la mer

Vers Skye absent à là.

Nuages et brises, îles et mers,

Mons de pluie et soleil,

M’est du bonne, m’est d’égalité,

Plus et plus effacer.

If a native French speaker or someone else can check these for me and let me know if I made any mistakes, please let me know.  It’d be awkward if someone overheard me and told me what I was singing under my breath was making absolutely no grammatical sense! :)
