"When's the last time you had a home cooked meal? Like someone sat down and actually prepped you some warm food and not something out of a box?" Tifa crossed her arms, and eyes are filled with scrutiny at what he might answer with. She was good at feeding strays after all it seemed like. She helped them back on their feet and generally served as good company to them or so she thought anyways. "Come on. You can come back to my place, if you want. I can sit you down and cook you a meal. Whatever you'd like."

"i am not sure, my lord, but i have marked this tree before which means... we have been here." which also translated to... they were lost in nowhere, in the middle of a huge dense forest. it was also seemingly getting hotter and more humid. the mercenary sighed softly, looking around curiously. maybe he could find hints to where they needed to go in order to leave the forest behind, but absolutely each direction looked entirely the same...

he also wasn't entirely familiar with this part of rosaria, since he usually stuck to the north and rarely even came down to port isolde, unless he had to fetch supplies or something, which is also where he met clive the very first time. hard to believe this man was still alive, same as his brother.

he was happy, but he supposed his parents would be much happier. but they were not alive anymore and their home as gone, too... and so he roamed through the world, hoping to help. he wasn't much of a help to clive though---in zero ways. he was much stronger, perhaps even much smarter and he seemed to know this place better.

"i wish i could serve you better, but i have no idea where we are."

A playful sparring match was it all was at first. She had insisted---seeing as how Clive had yet to see her in action. Gloves on her fists, and an inviting stance with her fists raised. They had clashed, and of course she could notice how impressed Clive was at well she could keep up with him. The brawler was nothing if not constantly upkeeping her own training and abilities she had learned. Then, well--she may have taunted him just a bit too much. Telling him he couldn't possibly catch her, as they fought and she moved expertly from spot to spot. That's when---he had finally caught her--after a few evasive moves she was "trapped" in his grasp. She could feel his breathe at her ear and her body shivered instantly. The words "got you" growled into her ear and her palms innocently went up. "What are you gonna do then? Now that you got me?"

Tifa had briefly taken off her fingerless gloves so she could start washing some vegetables they were having for dinner that night. A noodle stir fry she told him, she was thinking of making. Nothing too fancy though. Some of the vegetables had seen better days but nothing a little tender love and care couldn't help with. Of course Clive insisted on gathering everything she needed and being a helping hand. That's when he noticed--the long thin scars around her fingers and palms. "Oh those?" She noticed his stare and chuckled. "That's just from being a fighter. It isn't nothing to write home about I assure you." That's when she felt him reach for her bare palm and bring it to his lips kissing over every digit. A soft shiver traced down her spine and she briefly forgot where they were or what they were supposed to be doing. "I um--I mean they don't--hurt anymore you know---" She stutters out. "But um...Th--Thank you..."

How long had she been running around, collecting and replacing filters? Probably since early that morning it seemed like. With that and a late shift at the bar she pulled, Tifa had been pretty exhausted. And of course it didn't take a rocket scientist to see her stumbling around like an idiot at times. Barely able to stand up right at moments but pushing through anyway. They were all family here. And if Tifa wasn't there to help them, who would be? Tifa sighed and ran an exhausted palm through her ink black hair. "Thank you." She muttered softly, leaning her head briefly on Clive's strong and muscular shoulder. "I know I'm--I'm pushing myself again, don't worry. I only have a couple more left then I'll make myself crash at the apartment."

The two had had a playful sparring match. Just fists, no weapons or anything extra. Clive had been curious about her martial arts training and she had said, no better way to learn than through experiencing it first hand. She didn't mind at all showing off her physical prowess. If anything she liked the idea of just showing off a little bit for Clive. And so the two had exchanged a few playful blows, a few well placed kicks from Tifa, and so forth. That was until---they had seemingly gotten lost in the rythm of the fight--and learned each other's patterns---soon, Tifa felt the cool surface of the wall against her back and Clive's hands hand her own pinned above her against the wall.

Their faces were inches apart and she stared at him, breathing heavily. She could almost make out each of his lashes, and the rough details of his features. "You know," She whispered to him. "This might be the moment when you decide we aren't fighting anymore and I might just be okay with that."
