ugh I'm just sitting here rereading The Great Gatsby and I'm crying because of this introduction quote and the fact that the Other Works section has "The Love of the Last Tycoon ( Unfinished )" and he deserved happiness Fitzgerald deserved the world and he had it all before he was thirty and he was so concerned with becoming immortal and he was in the perfect time to do so and what happens when you adore something so but your heart actually hurts because I love Fitzgerald more than any other writer and I want to absorb him into my veins
