How about a scenario where a partially still delightfulized Lenny eats some of fully back to normal Constance's cooking and he remembers more of his time at sector z and it helps speeds the de-delightfulization process?
(That actually sounds like a really good scenario, that makes me happy!)
(I’m thankful for the nurses and doctors who are working their butts off to help people with Covid. This disease is scary as heck, but those doctors and nurses are putting their lives on the line to help others. I’m grateful as heck for them.)
Dear Claws/wolf anon,
It makes me sad that you were unable to interact with me face to face, but I hope that the things I say still reach you. I really didn’t want to post these things for everyone to see, but if you had stayed on anon, it would have been that way anyway.
You have sent me a number of asks, which at first I appreciated, but as time went on, they made me more uncomfortable. My first red flag was when you asked me to draw your character, but when I said no, you asked me again with the excuse that you couldn’t draw. It made me upset that you did not respect my boundaries.
The last four asks are the reason why I am blocking you. The last one I answered, with Lenny stepping in and asking for you to think more about what you say, you responded with more excuses. You even sent an ask with the explicit purpose to “shock and betray” my characters. I still don’t understand why you did that. I would say that it was semi-abusive for you to say such things, then instead of apologizing, all you did was give excuses. A person may have a bad childhood, a very bad immediate circumstance, but that does not give you permission to act in this way.
If you have found other people respond in a similar way when you go into their asks, then I would say the issue is not with them, but with you. My sincere hope is that you see what I’m saying and choose to be more careful with your words. You chose to purposefully mistreat my characters, and for this reason I am blocking you. If I realize that you are messaging me from other accounts, I will block those too.
I would appreciate it if you did not message me again.

Hey lizard you know what I think about decommissioning it’s wrong and stupid like seriously why do agents need their memories erased once they hit 13. Like I have a better idea replacement the decommissioning, Have the agent to say I’m 13 now and it was a honor to work with kids next door that I’ll miss you all but my time is done here. I’m heading into a new time goodbye my friends. This is a good idea right?
(You have a point, it would be nice if they could just walk out of the KND, but you also have to look at it from the KND’s point of view. These kids have knowledge about a secret base on the moon, technology intel, a secret prison. Any of this information could be highly dangerous in the hands of someone truly evil. It was safer for the organization and the actual decommissioned kid to not have this knowledge, so they could never betray the organization, but also so they could never be harmed for the information either.
Not only that, but being a child soldier is heavily traumatizing. Just look at Rebecca Sugar’s “Steven Universe: Future” series. Steven went through physical, mental and emotional trauma that stemmed from his time fighting as a child. He was robbed of his childhood and developed a Chosen One trope mindset. The KND has children fighting from as young as two (even younger!), and just like Steven couldn’t unsee Pearl “dying,” the KND operative’s can’t unsee the things that happen and traumatize them too.
Though it is sad for many kids to lose their memories, some walk into decommissioning with pride, such as Maurice and an operative from the comics. They saw it as a privilege to serve for as long as they could, then to be decommissioned honorably. We also see the flip side with Numbuh 12 and Cree Lincoln, both former operatives of the KND who betrayed the organization, stealing valuable information that put the entire organization at risk, I.e. the Moon Base being detached. If kids could simply walk out of the KND, they would have all the memories needed to do worse.
Decommissioning is still a scary and hard thing though, I won’t deny that. Most kids wake up with no friend group, no safety net. Numbuh 19th Century was decommissioned and simply dropped off with a family that “already had enough kids,” as I think the story goes. Parents probably asked those kids about what happened to their friends and all the silly adventures they went on only to be met with a blank stare. It’s scary, and in many ways it’s wrong, especially if we think about the GKND’s version of “decommissioning”. There are always two sides of the coin.
TL; DR Decommissioning is complex.
