VACATION NOTICE !!

GUYS ARE WE BEING TROLLED?!?
So, it’s 9/11.
Though I do remember where I was 14 years ago, and I’ll always honor the significance of that particular day and those who were lost, this date in general has always been about more for my family and I. It’s my aunt’s birthday, and that makes this day a lot brighter and easier to handle.
Sadly, though, we now have another reason to add significance to 9/11.
My grandpa passed away peacefully in his sleep around 12:30 a.m., and our whole family was there at his bedside. It was the best way we could have asked for him to go--not that it doesn’t still hurt like crazy. It does.
--but I feel it’s only fitting really, that it happened on this day. Many heroes died on this day 14 years ago, and this year, a different sort of hero joined them. My grandpa was a hero to his family and all who knew him. He was strong, feisty, hard-working, and independent. Stubborn sometimes, but undeniably loving and kind. He would have done anything for his family. There was never a favor too big or small--no matter what we needed, he was there.
I love you so much, grandpa, and we’re all going to miss you terribly. Rest well, in peace, alongside my father, great-grandmother, and all the other heroes that have been taken from us.
Never forget.
