Hey! I’m not sure when I’ll be around, and I’m not really gonna lie and say I’ll try to be on. Honestly, right now, I’m in a shitty mood and I’m scared a lot. 

My anxiety has gotten a lot worse, and my depression hits me in the face at the same time. Apparently, I may have genetic hair loss, which is scaring the shit out of me, and then I’m making myself feel like poop by saying people have it worse and I shouldn’t be bitching. But it’s still scary, and I really don’t want to go through that, and so much hair falls out just from a shower, so it’s just driving my anxiety up the wall.

I’ll try to be on when I can or actually in the mood to do anything. I’m sorry for my fickleness!

            ＡＣＴ Ｉ ： ＴＨＥ  ＥＸＰＯＳＩＴＩＯＮ

➔ ordinary world established:

uthenera. this is all he's known for thousands of years. the spirits are his friends, and the world is of his own making. asleep, but conscious in another state of mind, watching from beyond. this is home to him. the spirits are his family. he tries to reach out to his people from the beyond, but upon doing so, they react with disdain & fear. upon waking, he is faced with his mistakes & how much the world has changed. his people still wear the blood writing on their face, but this time is is willing, and they don't understand it's true meaning. he's sad, hurt. fear becomes a predominant emotion; turns to anger, disappointment.

➔ established psychological/moral weaknesses:

survivors guilt. he feels he must fix his mistake to ease the guilt. he feels he must fix his mistake because what he's done has only made things worse, and he sees this. coming from a world that was as advanced as arlathan, as beautiful, to the world of thedas sets him back. in a way he is unstable in his desires. prideful. arrogant. he lies by omitting the truth, and somehow thinks that is better. while he open for change and will admit when he is wrong, but he's too stubborn, and it does not sway his mind even if his words say otherwise. he is hypocritical and cruel. believes the elves of thedas are below the elves of arlathan. everything around him is unreal and unfit be given life. it is hard to see the good around him when he destroyed something that was once beautiful. wrath. despite his calm nature, he can become angered/irritated easily if the subject is sensitive ( case in point: when someone mentions anything to do with the spirits of the Fade/anything with oppression). he, at times, does not relent on a subject even if it is clear the other participate in the 'argument' refuses to continue. doesn't wish to kill, but will if necessary, and brutally at that.

➔ establish the want:

sees this world and wants — needs — to make it better. around him, there is no color where, once, everything was so vivid. the people of this era are barbaric, narrowminded. they don't see what he sees. they refuse to believe in the power that is magic, what good it can do. the people are fearful. he wants to fix what he can. being that the people to him at this point aren't 'real', he doesn't care how much damage is done in the process. he is too weak, but wants so terribly. he will bring down the veil and restore his people.

➔ but what do they really need?

he needs to see the beauty of this world as it is. he needs to be told that his mistake is a mistake, and sometimes they cannot be fixed, but be made better in the aftermath. he needs to realize that, by doing what he plans to do, will not ease his pain or guilt. even if he accomplished what he intends to do, history will repeat itself. it is nature's way. he cannot see this as he's desperate to ease the ache inside him caused by his own doing. he needs to appreciate what is before him, even if the cost had been too great. he needs to find a way to help this world and not trying to help the ghosts of his past.

➔ inciting incident ( limited awareness ):

weak from his sleep, he gives his orb to corypheus. the explosion is great and causes the death of many. solas is unaware, at the time, that the orb's power has been thrust upon an unwilling victim. his connection to the orb seems to diminish, but it pulsates, as if thriving. his goal was not accomplished, but it seems, made worse. seeks it out.

➔ call to action/introduction to conflict ( increased awareness ):

finds the inquisitor (herald at this point in time). watches over them as they sleep, tending to the mark so that it did not swallow all around him. his intentions aren't focused on the inquisitor; they mean nothing to him other than the conduit of his power. meets cassandra and varric. they are more colorful than he first believed. humorous. brave. varric stays even if he can leave; solas does not know why. the breach in the sky appears to be growing, demons spilling through. this was not the way he wanted this to happen. brief panic before he plans. eases the inquisitor into awareness. the breach worsens, and solas fears he has ruined far more than he intended. upon the inquisitor's awakening, he offers his assistance to help the 'breach', which is not a lie, but not entirely the truth either.

➔ refusal of the call ( reluctance to change ):

in his journey to close the rifts with the herald and their companions, he finds that the people are more real here than he anticipated. it distorts his mind, makes him think. they distract him from what he wants, makes him believe there is another way, but then he remembers what needs to be done every time some helpless mage is slaughter, a demon condemned, spirits spat at. he is reluctant to accept that maybe he was wrong. refuse to see the color of this world, and that the people here are genuine and real. lies to the herald for his own gain, manipulates the inquisition in his own way to for his end goal. guilt, but he pushes it down.

➔ introduced to the mentor ( overcoming reluctance ):

grows close to the inquisitor (friend is a weaker influence than a romanced lavellan. a hated inquisitor keeps him on the path of destruction). sees that they are more real than anything he has come across; reminds him of those in arlathan. makes him see the potential in this world. makes him feel sadness at the loss of those he's come to know. makes him doubt. the inquisitor makes him see what can be done, what can be helped.
