is it really truly so impossible to start new things with people? honestly? like how hard is it to show one ounce of kindness and give one second of your time to fucking like a post for somebody, no matter if you’ve interacted with them before? isn’t the whole point of this whole thing, following others, reading what they write, looking at their rules, having them on your dash, isn’t the whole point of that to actually fucking do something together? and yet, the constant one-sided-ness of shit i see on here is astounding. it’s ridiculous even, to see just how much effort some people are putting into things, how many times an extension of a hand is given by some people to start something, how many opportunities are put out into the world to only receive absolutely nothing back. honestly, it’s shameful. the rpc was better than this and we deserve better than this now, so fucking get your shit together, because this is a hobby, but nobody’s fucking having fun anymore. and yeah, this is vague posting about everybody and i don’t even care. unfollow me right now because i’m so sick and tired of pretending that people are putting the same amount of effort into things when that’s clearly not the case, on top of that, people are straight up using people for their males most days, despite the clear distinction in their rules along with nobody actually putting effort into plotting anything for females. i’m so sick of people not reading other people’s rules at all!
i get it, we’re all too nice for our own good sometimes, but jesus christ, demand better, and also BE BETTER. you don’t owe anybody anything, yes, and nobody owes you anything either, but because there is an implied transaction that needs to occur for you to write with someone you have to take both sides into account as a give and a take. this is a two way street @ literally everybody. so start fucking acting like it, because as much as you think someone doesn’t want to write with you, chances are they probably don’t think you want to write with them either! go like a fucking starter call every once in a while, SEND A FUCKING MEME OUT OF THE BLUE, just do something, no matter how scared that it makes you. if you can’t even do that, fucking leave, because you’re being disrespectful to the craft and to the community and more importantly yourself. don’t expect people to cater to your every need, because my god you have to put some of the work in too.
so whatever your excuses are, learn from them, because it sucks when you literally put yourself out there and receive absolutely nothing back. i’m so furious that people can’t even do a simple task like liking a starter call, because nobody does shit for other people these days. i don’t know how to make you care about other people, but in this community that’s what we need to find a focus back on, because whatever we’re doing now is not working and i hate it here and i wouldn’t be here if i didn’t have the one and only consistent writing partner left on this website. don’t just wait around to be given something, be active and have some god damn initiative.
