//It baffles me so much how some people will vehemently hate on Sanji. Especially on this absolute hell site, but all the same it should be expected. It’s also amazing how quickly some people will throw around the word ‘misogyny’.
The man does not hate women. We’ve clearly seen that as it has been thrown around for a gag many, many times, because not only is One Piece an adventure manga, it’s also known for its wild humour.
Plus why does his preference bother you so much? He likes women who he’s attracted to, he’s human fgs. I am quite sure many people have those they like that they consider attractive in their eyes. We’ve literally seen recently Usopp and Franky go gaga when Komurasaki appeared in the manga the other day, and they have had their moments when they expressed their thoughts for the ‘type of lady’ they’re interested in. Why must Sanji constantly be given crap while other characters are left alone? It’s either you accept all the characters for who they are or what they do or you don’t bother liking anything at all. At that point why are you still keeping up with One Piece?
When it comes to his writing now, Sanji is just as well written as any other character in the series. Yes, he has his flaws, but so do other characters. It happens and it’s unavoidable; there is no perfect character. You cannot go bawling just because something in a story does not fit your criteria, criticism is important but no yelling is going to get you anywhere.
Not to mention the way some people will twist a One Piece character to their own desires is kinda gross, more so when they complain when the character is literally being themselves in the actual story. You’re too blinded by your ideology that you forget what you’re reading or watching anymore.
