Here I have attempted to translate some sentences:

Isoveljeni Caleb seisoo käytävällä ja pitelee päänsä yläpuolella olevasta kaiteesta.  My older brother Caleb is standing in the corridor (of the bus) and keeping his head above the handrails. 

Hänellä on isän tumma tukka ja kyömynenä, äidin vihreät silmät ja leuassa kuoppa. Kun olimme nuorempia, sellaiset piirteet tekivät hänestä vähän oudon näköisen, mutta viime aikoina asia on muuttunut. Jos osastomme ei olisi Vaatimaton, tytöt varmasti tuijottaisivat häntä koulussa. He has dad’s dark hair and nose curved outwards, mom’s green eyes and cleft chin. When we were younger, these kinds of features made him look a little weird, but that has recently changed. If our faction weren’t Abnegation, girls at school would surely look at him.

Talot tihenevät ja tie paranee, mitä lähemmäs pääsemme kaupungin keskustaa.  The houses are becoming denser and the roads better, which means that we are getting closer to the city center. (Is the Finnish sentence missing a word or two?)

Viisi vuotta sitten juokko vapaaehtoisia rakennustyöläisiä Vaatimattomasta päällysti täällä teitä. He lähtivät liikkeelle kaupungin keskustasta ja etenivät sieltä ulospäin kunnes heiltä loppuivat materiaalit.  Five years ago, a group of voluntary construction workers from Abnegation paved these roads. They set out from the city’s center and worked their way from there and outwards until they ran out of materials.

Siellä missä minä asun kadut ovat edelleen halkeilleita ja muhkuraisia, eikä niillä ole turvallista ajaa. Mutta eipä meillä ole autoakaan. There, where I live, streets are still cracked and bumpy, and not safe to drive on either. But we don’t have cars anyways. (What does the -pä do in this sentence?)

Tunnen miten poskeni punastuvat. Nousen ylös ja puistelen pölyjä vaatteistani. Muutama ohikulkija on pysähtynyt, mutta ei tarjoa apuaan. He vain seuraavat minua katseellaan kulmaan saakka.  I feel how my cheeks are blushing. I stand up and shake the dust off my clothes. Another by-passer has stopped, but he/she is not offering they help. They just follow me with their looks until they disappear behind the corner.

Meillä on harmaat vaatteet, huomaamaton kampaus ja nöyrä käytös jotta meidän olisi helpompi unohtaa itsemme - ja muiden olisi helpompi unohtaa meidät. We have gray clothes, unnoticeable hairstyles and a humble behavior so that it would be easier for us to forget ourselves - and it would be easier for others to forget us.
