An Albuquerque, New Mexico, attorney, Geoffrey Scovil leads a private practice, where he represents clients in felony trial cases. Outside of his legal work, Geoffrey Scovil makes it a priority to support community organizations, including the Outpost Performance Space.
The Outpost Performance Space brings musicians from around the world to Albuquerque to share their art. A nonprofit performing arts center, the venue each year hosts more than 100 shows featuring blues, jazz, and classical artists, as well as talents from other genres.
The Outpost Performance Space welcomes celebrated saxophonist Joshua Redman and The Bad Plus, a piano, bass, and drums trio to its stage on December 5. Performing separately at the center in 2014, the musicians come together to share jazz tracks from their collaborative release, The Bad Plus Joshua Redman. Dubbed a “knockout” by the New York Times, the album includes the songs “Faith through Error,” “Silence Is the Question,” “Dirty Blonde,” and “The Mending.” The quartet will return the following day to give a special benefit performance.
