Back on the road delivering books!
Our Outreach Reading Program is back on the road starting this week delivering books to preschool aged kiddos throughout the MWV and the North Country! We are excited to drop-off, read and see so many smiling faces (and smiling masks)!
Beginning this week and continuing through the month of October, we will be visiting 38 preschool and kindergarten classrooms to either drop-off books or drop-off books and also read a book to each group! It’s been over a year since we’ve been able to interact with a lot of the classrooms and we couldn’t be more grateful to be back in person for some. We travel as far North as Colebrook, as far south as Wakefield, and almost everywhere in between! We even get over into Fryeburg, Maine to visit our friends at Fryeburg Head Start!
The purpose of our Outreach Reading Program is to expose, excite and encourage reading for preschool age children and beyond. During each visit at most schools, we get to sit and read aloud a fun book and then each child gets to pick out and bring home a brand new book and bookmark! During this Outreach trip, we will be delivering over 800 new books!
The Outreach Reading Program is just one of many literacy programs offered by Believe in Books Literacy Foundation.
