Those files on the 78th class who’d been dead and irrelevant after they’d played their part on behalf of the surviving few would have been surprisingly useful in this city. Having cared mostly for themes and parallels between the first mutual killing and the second, there hadn’t been much room in memory for much else back on the island-- (why care about dead people you don’t know?) but here where all can be brought back one way or another, it was something of a shame.
Some details however, fortunately remained as glued to mind as his adoration of that class. Details like talents, methods of murder, and motivations were pocketed much like his unyielding respect for their sacrifices, and he very much planned to express his gratitude.
“Maizono-san... right?” In this case, it was more difficult not to know her name, what with the popularity of her idol group in Japan once upon a time. Even with memories of Hope’s Peak long gone, that name was more than able to come to mind. “Despite how horrible this city is, I’m really glad... ”
“Now I can thank you!”
