Ever so slowly gets to my replies. Sorry friends I am actually a sloth in disguise.
“Kinda hard to get drunk when you drink all the bars with liquor worth drinking out of their stock.” He joked. Kind of. “The fuck’s it matter to you whether I’m walkin’ around sober or drunk? Not like you’re my goddamn wife or somethin’.”
❝ Look at that, assuming you could actually get a wife, you’re more of a joker than I took you for. ❞ A small laugh came from Makoto, simply shrugging at him. ❝ Honestly though? It doesn’t really matter to me but you’re kind of an eyesore so it was hard to keep quiet. ❞
“Forgive me for not being clearer, I was just… caught off guard by how similar you sound to one of my closest friends. I just require your opinion on something is all.”
“Is this really what you would call a… ‘onesie’?”
❝ No that’s okay, really! But uh.... a onesie? ❞ Staring at the mans attire, it looked somewhat similar to one but... ❝ ...Kind of? I mean... it does certainly look to be one but your outfit is still pretty damn cool looking. ❞
What a dazzling smile she had, almost mesmerizing if she payed closely attention it. Out of first impressions, she saw it conceivable that she was a girl with a gentle heart, although life glistened in her personality to not be soft spoken. Carefully grasping on her bag as she took one last second to let the silence sink in, her smile brought a certain glow on her face.
❝You’re very thoughtful,❞ she complimented in a soothing tone, her smile not faltered to keep its genuineness still.
❝I should repay you back… I wouldn’t forgive myself if I let you go off without doing something in return.❞
❀ ; When the woman began to look pleased enough, much better than she had first looked when Makoto initially ran over, the brunette felt a sliver of relief flow through her. If there was one thing she truly liked it was when people were happy, which Makoto knew was pretty hard at times. When she mentioned some sort of way to repay her back for her actions however, the younger girl’s face lit up with surprise.
❝ Oh, no no that’s alright! You really don’t have to do anything! ❞ Makoto protested, smiling bashfully at the woman. ❝ I just helped out ‘cause it looked like you could use it. ❞
“Of course follow me!” The rabbit smiled as she escorted the young lady to the back of the cafe. It was a small corner by the windows and offered a rather lovely view of the district that would change streets every so often. In truth it was a nice secluded place and one of the seats available to open.
“Is this alright with you guest?” Red eyes glanced over at the young girl. Then she realized it, the woman was staring at her. Why was she? Wait…OH!
“If you are wondering Black Rabbit’s ears are very real! Black Rabbit is a moon rabbit!”
❀ ; She doesn’t mean to stare naturally, however Makoto finds herself naturally drawn to the girls ears and blushes in embarrassment when she is called out on it. The waitress isn’t made luckily enough, yet that still doesn’t stop her from feeling as if she was acting rudely, which she was.
❝ Ah, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to stare! It’s just... well, I’ve never seen someone with--y’know, real rabbit ears on their head. ❞ she manages out, a sheepish look on her face. ❝ Where I’m from we don’t have “moon rabbits”, but honestly with what I’ve been through I shouldn’t be surprised by anything at this point. ❞
❝ Um but yes this is a great spot, thank you. ❞
❀ ; ❝ National Kissing Day, huh? I suppose I wouldn’t mind getting a kiss from a cute boy hehe, just kidding ❞
❝ There is no need to apologize; think nothing of it, ❞ the princess responds coolly, pulling down her scarf for a moment and offers the other brunette a soft smile. Of course the stranger had no way of knowing and Zelda does not fault her at all for such a thing. Though it still does pain her to think of her country in such a terrible state, she could never be cross with another for simply being curious about its state or what has happened.
Curiosity is only natural, after all.
❝ Indeed it is, but as long as we keep the memories of those we cherish within our mind and heart, they are not truly gone from our lives. ❞
Her words are gentle and speak wisdom, as she must often do… Though she can see that the subject at hand has caused the other to look quite sullen. Perhaps she truly does feel the monarch’s hidden pain or perhaps she has remembered something that still hurts. Regardless of what it may be, the aristocrat offers her another gentle smile before deciding to move onto a lighter subject.
❝ Ah, yes, forgive me for not introducing myself sooner; I am Zelda. ❞
❀ ; The woman’s smile is quite dazzling once Makoto fully witnesses it. Blinking in slight surprise, unexpected at how bright it is, she almost shyly returns the gesture with one of her own. When she speaks, her voice is smooth and calming and she can’t help but think about how pleasant it sounds when it meets her ears. Nodding gently at her words, she knows that what she says is true.
She’ll always have memories of her Mother teaching her how to bake after school, shirt cakes in flour and dough stuck underneath her fingernails; her Father picking her up and spinning her around after he comes home from work, vacations, holidays, they’ll always be there inside of her.
A light chuckle leaves her lips as she glances away in thought. She feels a bit happy thinking back on such fond memories. ❝ You’re right, I suppose in the end that’s the important thing. ❞ she admits, glancing back at the woman.
When she introduces herself, the name is definitely foreign sounding on her tongue, yet is still beautiful and oddly fitting of the woman. ❝ Z-Zelda...san, it’s nice to meet you. I’m Makoto Kino. Mako is just fine though. ❞ Makoto smiles, hoping her pronunciation of her name wasn’t too awful.
[ ☩ ] - Hearing the girl speak on who the dog’s owner might be, Erza raised a curious eyebrow, making sure the dog was comfortable in her armored arms. The coincidence was too canny.. so there was a potential chance it was her’s. As far as she knew, it was the only plausible means to actually getting the dog back to its owner. Looking down at it, Erza would present the girl with a smile and nod.
“ Alright. That sounds like a good plan to me. Show me where this girl is and we’ll see if the dog truly belongs to her. Ah, speaking of, my name is Erza. I feel introductions are at least a necessity at this point if we’re both striving towards the same goal. “
❀ ; While the armour the other girl wore was a bit odd, seemingly out of place in the domestic setting of Hive City, Makoto was sure there could be weirder things in the city she would come to witness sooner or later. Ignoring her attire for the time being, she nodded at her words, glancing at the dog in her arms. Hopefully this was the right dog, but then again the Hive was a big place and there were no doubt plenty of animals wandering about the street.
❝ Agreed, hopefully the dog does prove to be hers, it’ll definitely make wrapping this up a lot faster. ❞ she noted with a hopeful look in her green eyes. ❝ My name’s Makoto, my friends just call me Mako though. It’s nice to meet you Erza! Well, I suppose I should show you the way. ❞ Turning around, she motioned for Erza to follow her down the street. ❝ This way! ❞
“Wha – no way!” Kate scoffed.
“Weapons are totally allowed in some public spaces. They were just being jerks, because you know…they’re jerks.” She nods to other, smiling some.
Makoto hummed to herself skeptically, but didn’t deny what the girl spoke of. ❝ You don’t say? Well where I’m from I’d say it’s a pretty normal practice, but then again this place is probably the last thing from normal. I suppose so long as you ain’t shooting the place up it’s all good. ❞ She hoped.
“ Erm.. I suppose that would be me, yes.. I guess I’ve gotten a bit stronger with all the training I’ve done..? But quite impressive though, you are perchance one of the tallest girls I have met in my time. Taller than most adults I know.. “
Of course he’d mention her height, who doesn’t these days what with all the new people she’s been meeting. There has to be at least a few girls out there who age who are also tall, especially if there are people from other universes here.
❝ You don’t say? Well I get that a lot, I’m starting to think I’m taller than most people out there, unfortunately. It’d be nice to come across someone who’s taller than me for once. ❞ Unlikely though, Makoto sighed at the thought. ❝ But I gotta give you props, that must be some impressive training you’ve been up to. What’s your name by the way? Mine’s Makoto. ❞
❝ Then I will start by asking one question! It is very vital. ❞ Okay, here goes. Even if it’s going to be one of the most awkward questions in the whole wide world. ❝ How do you feel about maid uniforms, do you see yourself wearing one? ❞
❝ A maid uniform? Like... for a cafe? ❞ Makoto pondered on the thought for a moment, shrugging her shoulders as she had worn such a thing for school festivals and what not. ❝ Yeah, maid uniforms are okay by me! ❞
ultimatprincess
❝ Excuse me, you’re name’s Sonia right? Uh sorry if this is really weird but I heard that you were a real life princess, is that true or... you know, just some made up junk? ❞
How Kamina survived was due to an overwhelming male instinct to avoid danger when ever it arose. More accurately, he was followed by guardian angels, and protected by more luck then anyone could imagine. It was this very luck that saved him, a stranger roughly pulling at him to return to the sidewalk as a car sped past. Kamina of course, had never seen a car before. To him it was a very small mecha. So, before he even bothered to register that someone had saved his life, the man reacted in a way only he would, twisting on his heels and glaring at the woman angrily.
“Oi Oi Oi! The hell do you think you’re doing breaking a man’s stride!” boomed the paragon. Red lights? He had no idea what any of that even meant, let alone how it applied to him right now. “If that mech hit me I’d just hit it right back! You didn’t have to drag me backwards, that’s the opposite of where I wanted to go!”
❀ ; Makoto expected a little bit of flak from the guy considering how she yelled at him, and perhaps for grabbing him a bit roughly, but what this guy brought was just something else entirely. With a voice much louder than to Makoto’s liking, she found herself glaring at the guy as soon as his mouth had opened--only to shortly give way to a slightly confused expression. Mech? Like... as in from the Gundam series, the anime that kids watch? Either way, this guy was pushing his luck. She did just save him after all.
❝ What are you? Stupid? ❞ she replied quite pointedly, her tone one of annoyance. ❝ I just saved your life you dimwit, that’s what the hell I think I was doing! Do you even hear yourself? ❞ Makoto was mad now, after all she wasn’t just going to let any guy talk to her like that. Nobody talked to her like that.
❝ I don’t know what mech’s you’re talking about, but that was a car and you can’t hit it back--unless you wanna get flattened on the road. You see that light right there? ❞ she pointed to the one he had clearly just ignored seconds before. ❝ When that’s red, that means don’t walk, and you wanna know why? Cause that means it’s the cars turn to go on the road, understand? ❞ Was she really explaining this to a grown man? Apparently.

Yoko let out a sigh, looking into her wallet. She had really been looking forward to the cinnamon roll she was about to purchase… She knew it wasn’t a smart idea to leave her apartment with so little cash, but she didn’t want to bring too much with her either. “I guess next time I’ll know better..” She mumbled before an angel, no- her savior came to the rescue.
“Y-You don’t have to–!”
Yoko protested at first, trying to be polite. But the brunette already placed some money on the counter. ‘That was really nice of her..’ She thought as the transaction took place before her eyes. The sweet was on a plate and in her grasp lickity-split. Yoko turned, reaching out and grabbing the other’s sleeve before she could walk away, “Thank you so much…” She looked down at the plated cinnamon roll now in her hands, “Would… You like to share this with me, maybe..?” The red head wanted to show her thanks in some way- even if the two didn’t know each other well.. Maybe they could over a tasty pastry!
❀ ; It’s a matter of seconds before the cinnamon roll is handed over to the red head, voicing her gratification at Makoto’s actions who only gives a sweet smile in reply. When she asks if she would like to share, a surprised look crawls onto the brunette’s face, glancing from the sweet pastry to the girl and back again.
❝ Oh, that’s really kind of you but I-- ❞ The cinnamon roll catches her eye again, it does look pretty delicious. Then again Makoto could always make her own but that’d require more time and money and-- ❝ Sure! ❞ The word slips out before she realizes it. ❝ Thank you! ❞ She tacks on finally.
When she walks over to a small table for the two of them, sitting across from the girl, she realizes that she’s probably around the same age as her. As Makoto thinks on it a bit more, this is probably the first person who she’s met who is a girl and around the same age range. This could certainly turn out promising, perhaps the two could even become friends. ❝ My name’s Makoto by the way, Makoto Kino. ❞ she introduced finally, shooting the girl another radiant smile.
