It's Frog Time -- 3 batches of eggs so far!
@thejunesky I wanted to take nicer snowdrop pictures for you, but our sunshine is taking a long vacation & it has been incredibly dreary for the last few weeks. In addition, my garden nemeses The Voles are chewing the flowerheads off & leaving evidence of their crimes to mock me, as usual. So I figured I'd better get a few grey-weather pictures while there were still some flowers left intact. Vole transgression below:

another less-common garden visitor -- a comma butterfly on blackberry flowers
I bought this big, beautiful quilt top ~8yrs ago for the amazingly low price of $75. There's not a single fabric repeat, although some patterns (eg, white polka dots on red) have numerous subtle variants. I love how some of the hexagons are themselves pieced -- this is definitely a quilt made from scraps. Based on the colors/patterns, I'd guess the scraps were collected between the 40s & the 60s, but I have no idea when the quilt top itself was actually made.
Frog eggs are piling up -- I think there are ~8-10 sets of eggs here now.
The cherry plums are going wild.
