I used to direct my prayers skyward when I was a child. I did not know, or understand, that Jesus was with me, inside me, all along. What a comfort that is! Know that your prayers are not sound waves bouncing off the walls and disappearing into silence. You have a captive audience inside you who knows what you are going to say even before you say it!
