As Kai watched you directing the other people in his office he couldn’t help but admire you. The way you took charge. The way you made everything look so easy. How comfortable you were around the people that worked for him. He had hoped for nothing more than for you to be comfortable with this. He wanted a family business. Every Yakuza leader deserved to have a dedicated woman by his side to help him run the show.
And that’s exactly what Kai Chisaki had gotten.
You were the one person that he could stand to touch or let touch him. You were the only person that he wanted to spend every waking moment with. You were quirkless, but you took charge like you had one. And for someone without a quirk, you were able to put the fear of god into the people that worked for him that had quirks. Or maybe that was just the fact that you were the boss's girl.
He knew that he needed to act quickly. He knew that if he wanted to seal the deal he needed to do it soon, but it made him nervous to just think about that. He had never been the best when it came to commitment, unless it was to his own cause.
But you made everything that scared him in the world seem just that much calmer. He wanted to keep that. It scared him to even think about losing you. Every day he thought about how someone else could come in at any moment and sweep you off your feet. Someone who didn’t have such a scary life, someone that didn’t constantly put themselves in danger.
He’d never realized just how much you liked the dangerous aspect to his life. You like the rush of it all. You loved to see how happy it made him as he took charge in life and death situations. You like the way he took charge over you when he needed to and you loved just how protective the man had always been of you.
You wouldn’t ever change that for the world.
Kai knew that the perfect time for him to do something like this would be now. He had to take you out for the night. He had to make sure that you knew just how much he really loved you. How much he wanted to make you Mrs. Kai Chisaki.
So that night he made a reservation. What better way to show you that he loved you than by buying out your favorite restaurant and showing you the time of your life. When he approached you that afternoon you had expected business stuff, but you were pleasantly surprised when he wrapped his arms around you and made the men in the office jealous.
“My angel,” His voice was soft and angelic as he whispered into your ear. “I have a surprise for us tonight. Make sure you dress your best, I’ll send a car to pick you up at the house later tonight.”
You leaned into him and reached your hand backward, placing it on his face. “And what’s this surprise Kai? You know that I hate not knowing what I’m walking into.”
He chuckled and pulled his arms from you. “Trust me darling, it’s a good surprise.” He motioned for one of the men that guarded you and they grabbed the car keys from the wall. “Now go home and relax a while before we go.” He placed a soft kiss to your lips and let it linger there. Euphoria flowed through you as the familiar taste of him poured into you.

As the time grew closer you got nervous, it wasn’t like Kai to be this spontaneous. It wasn’t like him to bring the two of you out into public. He had always hated the idea of people seeing the two of you together. He had always been afraid that his enemies would target you if they knew that you were his.
The ride to your destination seemed to get longer and longer, time barely passing around you. But as you pulled up to the front of your favorite restaurant you grew a puzzled look. What was Kai up to?
As you watched you saw the door opening in front of you. You hadn’t even noticed anyone walking up to the car. Kai stood before you, the outfit he adorned was something you rarely ever got to see him in. Instead of the normal plague doctor mask that covered his face a black face mask took its place. A button up black dress shirt covered his torso with a red tie hanging down the front. And the black dress pants that he wore squeezed all the right places.
Kai held his hand out to you and waited for you to take it. “Come with me, angel.”
You took his hand and slowly stepped from the car, following him to the door. Your jaw dropped as you took in the view before you. The restaurant had been lit perfectly. Floating lights covered the ceiling and string lights hung from the walls in a curtain like fashion.
You couldn’t take your eyes off of it all, the lights perfectly lighting up your (e/c) eyes as Kai took in the sight. He pulled down his face so that you could see the smile that now spread from ear to ear on him. “What do you think?”
You could barely make out words as you looked back at him. “What’s all this for Kai?”
He snickered and pulled you further. A bottle of champagne sat in a bucket of ice on the table and he grabbed the end of it, popping off the cork and taking two of the glasses in his hand. As the liquid poured into the cups the smell engulfed your nostrils.
Kai handed you a glass and held his out to yours. “Here’s to many more years as the leader of the Shie Hassaikai and the love of his life.”
You touched your glass to his. “Here’s to bringing the Yakuza back to where it should be in society.”
He loves to hear those words for your mouth. They sounded so perfect coming from your lips. “You’re damn right my love.”
You took a sip of your drink, the sweet taste of the drink filling your tastebuds. But as you looked back down the last thing you had expected to see was exactly what you were seeing.
Kai Chisaki had gotten down on one knee. You nearly dropped your glass as he reached behind him and pulled a small velvet box from his back pocket. His familiar voice filled your ears as you listened to the words you had been wanting to hear for over a year.
“Y/n, I love you more than words could ever express.” He was nervous, something you had never seen in the big, bad Yakuza leader before. “There’s nothing I’d rather do with my life than spend it with you. You’re the only person that I want to wake up next to for the rest of my days.” He cleared his throat and let his nervous smile fade away. “Will you do me the honor of making me the happiest Yakuza leader there is by being my wife?”
Before you could even control yourself you threw your body to him. He fell backward onto the floor as you collapsed on top of him, laughs ringing through the room as he caught you. Your lips caressed him as you sealed the deal. You had wanted to take the Chisaki name for such a long time now. “Yes! Yes! I will.”
He smiled and placed his hands into your hair, grasping your head in his hands. “I’ll love you forever. To the ends of the world and back.” It had been a long time since Kai had felt this happy. “No one will ever hurt you and if they even try, they’ll regret it every second of the rest of their life.”
