How many frames were there?
As an anniversary to the video’s launch, here’s a mess of data!
In the final video, excluding the intro with Neg1 and Legacy and the long credits, the total number of frames was 609.
As for how many frames were made that number is 1609. Where’s all the extra frames? They simply didn’t make it in due to the layout of the song. All silhouette files made it in (104), 98 souls made it in, all the animatic frames made it in (71+74 glitched frames).
The frames that didn’t make it were all work from the artists, for their posing frames. As part of the project, I required that folks have PSDs that had multiple arms and expressions that were interchangeable, thus making an exponential number of frame possibilities. (In hindsight, this was overkill. BUT it sparked more creativity with submissions and more options for poses.)
Artists still own the right to their PSD files and are free to post and use their favorite frames as they please.

ECHO Gaster Community Project was intended, and continues to be a non-profit project. Out of respect for all of our participants, nothing will be made or sold in any way from this project. (If artists wish to sell prints of their own frames, they are 100% permitted to do so. That’s up to the artist, not us.)
