The Casters of Season 2 Stage 4 Week 2
Desk Appreciation - 02/28/18
Starting the new week with... Well, at least it's a coherent look for the entire desk? Denim blue, a purple flannel repeat, and another medium blue with a barely visible leaf pattern. And then there's Soe in what looks to be a somewhat boring gray blouse.
That's because the fun part is happening further below. It's hard to make out in the darkness of the arena with the winning team colors not providing much illumination, but she is wearing a skirt, and the highlight is the beaded, high-waisted belt. Add a necklace and some earrings and it'd be a really great look.
Still not a great look is that roughly half the players speak nothing but Korean, and yet the League initially didn't think to hire somebody who could actually talk to them. An even worse look is that when they cart out staff members from the teams to translate, they do not mention their names. I think London Robin got his name mentioned maybe, but I know for sure I had to ask around in Custacord, which had literal journalists in there, to figure out that this is Annie Cho. She has been featured on this blog before. She has an amazing sense of style and great hair.
I like the dress and wish we could have seen more of it.
And then, finally, there's supposed to be...
...huh, I don's see anyone, it's all dark and he's so well concealed.
Okay real talk, accessory game strong, but really, he's pulling a stage ninja again and a cami arm band, which, wow, Choices were made, doesn't help with the look. Ah well, Malik was also there. Even if he looks like he didn't want to be seen.
#Moment - 08/01/2019
Malik took Aid and Roky from the Toronto Defiant to yoga practice with Emily. No, I don't know, either. Emily looks amazing and practical, Malik will literally die before he puts his ankles on the internet and is wearing a totally not edge lord-y Reaper shirt, and Roky and Aid embody the only thing we can do in these, or any, or all, trying times; think positive and dissociate.
Speaking of dissociating. It is not often that the white man in the kimono is the less unfortunate thing happening in a picture.
Speaking of #Kimonte:
Organic conversation happening after sharing that picture. Say what you want about him, but he sure is memorable.

08/02/19 - The Gang Does A Micro Aggression
In which Monte looks way too convincing with that mustache, they all do their worst Italian stereotypes, and Soe dunks on everyone by actually speaking Italian, because of course she does.
Monte kept the mustache for the rest of the broadcast. We call that dedication. It works too well for him.

The Downside of Being Outstanding
Sooo. Tallying up looks for the Top 5 list of S2S4W2 has put me in a bit of a pickle.
The week wasn't spectacular, and this shirt totally would have made the cut. I unironically love it. It reminds me of place mats my grandma had with floral designs like this. Pay no attention to the stage ninja on the right.
Only problem is, this shirt has been on a Top 5 list before, and due to it being rather, you know, eye catching, I remembered it.
That's the top 5 of week 2 of the season play-offs, baby. So since I'm doing season 2 in reverse, this is the repeat, and the shirt worn in Season 2 Stage 4 Week 2 is the original. Unless that is also a repeat. Hm.
Also, fun fact:
He wore this to cast a Gladiators game twice. Which. Given how much the yellow flowers pop against the purple backdrop, good choice.
(Yes this is a post to show off this shirt specifically. Yes I like it that much. Also, kudos to a white man pulling off yellow. Few can do it.)
