okay tutorial for the sad children for @eliana-chann
materials: black, white, small navy fabric. possibly white bias tape but honestly you can make your own with your iron. velcro if you want it to open in the front.
As always copy pattern onto another piece of paper, measure yourself then trace them in chalk and cut them out.
one thing to keep in mind is that I would honestly just sew all white on top of the blue with either a zigzag stitch or something of your choosing to make it look nice.
If you would like to be able to open the front make the black literally just a big rectangle and sew it under the left side. then on the right add the velcro. It doesn’t seem like you would need to considering the shirts are supposed to be pretty baggy so you can probably just slip it on over your head.
You could use a big rectangle in the back too with the little cut out in the bottom. also sew the x in the back underneath the white for neatness
For the sleeves. I HIGHLY recommend sewing the black fancy design on first before attaching it to the rest of the jacket.
This is what I always do for hoods so just use the tutorial from my other tutorial. sew on the black strip before you sew the two hoods together. that way the stitching does not show through on the inside. can this even be considered a hood. it is so smol
last but not least the pocket!! I forgot to put that in the pattern but you know it is there.
ahhh happy children.
sew the white strip on the blue like bias tape. do the inside first then sew the outside for the best and neatest results. then to sew on the pocket fold under the edges and sew as close to the edge as possible.
